GOLPH3 Regulates Exosome miRNA Secretion in Glioma Cells

Journal of Molecular Neuroscience, 2020
We aimed to examine whether golgi protein GOLPH3 could affect the secretion of glioma cell-derived exosomes. The exosomes were extracted by ultra-centrifugation from the supernatant of U251 and U87 cell cultures and identified by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Malvern analyzer, and western blot.

Regulation of the Golgi apparatus via GOLPH3-mediated new selective autophagy

Life Sciences, 2020
Although previous studies elaborated that selective autophagy was involved in quality control of some organelles, including nucleus, mitochondria, the endoplasmic reticulum and peroxisomes, it remained unclear whether the selective autophagy of the Golgi apparatus (Golgiphagy) existed or not.In this study, H9c2 cells, HUVECs, HA-VSMCs and HEK293T cells

GOLPH3 and oncogenesis: What is the molecular link?

Tissue and Cell, 2017
The Golgi phosphoprotein 3 (GOLPH3) is encoded by a gene that is located in a region of the human genome that is often amplified in different solid tumours. GOLPH3, an evolutionary conserved phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PI4P) binding protein, is mainly localised at trans Golgi network (TGN).
