Low‐Temperature in Situ Upgrading of Ultra‐Deep Heavy Oil Using Ni–Ce/MOF–OTf Superacid Catalysts to Enhance Energy Utilization and Sustainability

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A triflate‐functionalized Ni–Ce/MOF–OTf superacid enables low‐temperature (∼140°C) in situ upgrading of ultra‐deep heavy oil. It reduces viscosity by 92.11% in 12 h, maintains activity over cycles, and delivers 90.25% recovery with a lower carbon footprint by selective bond cleavage. ABSTRACT Ultra‐deep heavy oil is an important unconventional resource,

Synergistic Photo‐Electro‐Fenton Oxidation of Antibiotics Using a Ferrocene‐Functionalized MXene (Ti3C2Tx) Electrode

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
2D MXene (Ti3C2Tx)‐based electrode setup for hybrid photo‐electro‐Fenton degradation of antibiotic (tetracycline). The persistence of antibiotics such as tetracycline in aquatic systems poses severe environmental and health risks by potential antimicrobial resistance.

Dioxomolybdenum(VI) Complexes Supported by Fluxional Bis(amide)‐Functionalized Aminophenolate Ligands

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, EarlyView.
New bis(amide) aminophenolate ligands form dioxomolybdenum(vi) and dioxotungsten(vi) complexes showing solvent‐dependent nuclearity. Whilst monomeric complexes featuring methoxide ligands are obtained in methanol, water triggers formation of μ‐oxo‐bridged dimers via oxo exchange, verified by 18O labelling.

Synthesis and Properties of Cross‐Shaped Donor–Acceptor Dyes: Tunable Emission From Visible to Near‐Infrared in Solution and Solid‐State

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A comprehensive investigation (synthesis, electrochemistry, photophysics, and theory) of seven new cross‐shaped dyes based on N,N,N’,N’‐tetraphenyl‐1,4‐phenylenediamine cores substituted with different electron‐withdrawing groups, reveals tunable emission properties spanning the visible to near‐infrared range, both in solution and in the solid state ...
