The flowability of bentonite bonded green molding sand
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2001Abstract This paper investigates the properties of green molding sands, and a new model to evaluate the flowability of sand compact is developed. Controlling the flowability of the molding sand is extremely important in the sand casting process. Although several flowability indices have been proposed to measure this property, none of them has been ...

Towards a halogen-free package - green molding compound
IEEE/CPMT/SEMI 28th International Electronics Manufacturing Technology Symposium, 2003. IEMT 2003., 2004Green packaging has been a subject of interest and development in semiconductor manufacturing in recent years. At present, encapsulation of semiconductor devices is based on conventional material, which contains halogen, and antimony (Sb). Unfortunately, such elements are a hazard to the environment and health.

Effects of Advanced Oxidation on Green Sand Properties via Iron Casting into Green Sand Molds
Environmental Science & Technology, 2006The effects of advanced oxidation (AO) processing on the properties of green sand were studied via pouring cast iron into green sand molds. Upon cooling, the green sand molds were autopsied at various distances from the metal-sand interface. Autopsy green sand samples collected from a mold that incorporated AO water were characterized and compared to ...

Green molding compounds for high temperature automotive applications
Proceedings of 2004 International Conference on the Business of Electronic Product Reliability and Liability (IEEE Cat. No.04EX809), 2004The high temperature reliability of automotive power devices, using Au wires, seems to be strongly dependent on the rate of degradation of the Au/Al wire bond interface. Although other types of wires are available (e.g. Al and Cu), Au wires appear to be preferred for the near future.

Control of citrus green and blue molds by Chinese propolis
Food Science and Biotechnology, 2010Green and blue molds, caused by Penicillium digitatum and Penicillium italicum, respectively, are economically important postharvest diseases of citrus fruits. In this study, Chinese propolis ethyl acetate extract (PEAE) was evaluated to control P. digitatum and P. italicum on postharvest citrus fruits.
