Higher Expression of the Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein K in Melanoma [PDF]
The heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP) K is an essential RNA and DNA binding protein involved in gene expression and signal transduction. The role of hnRNP K in cancer is relatively understudied. However, several cellular functions strongly indicate that hnRNP K is involved in tumorigenesis.

Lactate in cervical cancer induces HNRNPU K181 lactylation, opposed by NAA50‐mediated acetylation and suppressed by Pazopanib. This lactylation enhances HNRNPU binding to PHGDH pre‐mRNA exon 1, maintaining exon 1‐containing transcripts and mRNA stability, thereby activating serine metabolism.

Modulation of nuclear localization of the influenza virus nucleoprotein through interaction with actin filaments [PDF]
The influenza virus genome is transcribed in the nuclei of infected cells but assembled into progeny virions in the cytoplasm. This is reflected in the cellular distribution of the virus nucleoprotein (NP), a protein which encapsidates genomic RNA to ...

Heterogeneous Nuclear Ribonucleoproteins and Their Interactors Are a Major Class of Deregulated Proteins in Anaplastic Astrocytoma: A Grade III Malignant Glioma [PDF]
Anaplastic astrocytoma is a high grade malignant glioma (WHO grade III) of the central nervous system which arises from a low grade II tumor and invariably progresses into lethal glioblastoma (WHO grade IV).

HNRNPD promotes radioresistance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma by enhancing stress granule assembly and sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA. This suppresses GRAMD4 translation and inhibits mitochondrial apoptosis. Targeting the integrated stress response with ISRIB restores GRAMD4 expression and sensitizes tumors to radiotherapy, revealing a translational control ...

Mining the Prognostic Value of HNRNPAB and Its Function in Breast Carcinoma
Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (HNRNPs) are crucial members in the pathogenesis and progression of numerous cancers. However, the expression pattern and clinical significance of HNRNPs in breast carcinoma (BC) remain to be investigated.

Evidence for a nuclear compartment of transcription and splicing located at chromosome domain boundaries [PDF]
The nuclear topography of splicing snRNPs, mRNA transcripts and chromosome domains in various mammalian cell types are described. The visualization of splicing snRNPs, defined by the Sm antigen, and coiled bodies, revealed distinctly different ...
