BACKGROUND There is controversy in the literature as to whether swine coronary endothelium expresses major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II antigens constitutively. METHODS Because this issue has implications for cell-mediated human anti-swine

Most in vitro cancer models lack cellular diversity, functional complexity, and clinical relevance. This work highlights the generation of an innovative dynamic tetraculture with autologous patient‐derived cells within a vascularized tumor‐on‐chip, as well as the recapitulation of endothelial anergy features induced by the tumor microenvironment ...

HI A ASSOCIATION WITH CHILDHOOD ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA
Summary: OBJECTIVE Many associations have been found between specific HLA antigens and increased susceptibility to various diseases . So we tried to associate class I and class II antigens with acute lymphoblastic leukemia .

Large-scale GPU-based network analysis of the human T-cell receptor repertoire [PDF]
Understanding the structure of the human T-cell receptor repertoire is a crucial precondition to understand the ability of the immune system to recognize and respond to antigens. T-cells are often compared via the complementarity determining region 3 (CDR3) of their respective T-cell receptor beta chains.

Signal Recognition Particle-dependent Membrane Insertion of Mouse Invariant Chain: A Membrane-spanning Protein with a Cytoplasmically Exposed Amino Terminus [PDF]
Invariant (Ii) chain is a membrane-spanning protein that is found associated intracellularly with class II histocompatibility antigens. In the endoplasmic reticulum Ii chain spans the membrane and exposes the NH2 terminus on the cytoplasmic and the COOH

Engineering CAR‐T Therapeutics for Enhanced Solid Tumor Targeting
CART cell therapy has proven effective for blood cancers but struggles with solid tumors due to diverse antigens and complex environments. Recent efforts focus on improving CAR design and validation platforms. Advances in protein engineering, machine learning, and organoid systems aim to enhance CAR‐T therapy against solid tumors.

Lrat+ quiescent hepatic stellate cells (qHSC) give rise to Lrat+Fbln2+ activated HSC (aHSC) in alcohol‐associated hepatitis and this subpopulation is highly profibrotic, inflammatory, and immunoregulatory based on their single cell transcriptomic profile. Abstract Background and Aims Relative roles of HSCs and portal fibroblasts in alcoholic hepatitis (

Attention-aware contrastive learning for predicting T cell receptor-antigen binding specificity [PDF]
It has been verified that only a small fraction of the neoantigens presented by MHC class I molecules on the cell surface can elicit T cells. The limitation can be attributed to the binding specificity of T cell receptor (TCR) to peptide-MHC complex (pMHC). Computational prediction of T cell binding to neoantigens is an challenging and unresolved task.
