Monoclonal Antibodies to HLA–DRw Determinants

open access: yesTissue Antigens, 1980
Two monoclonal antibodies recognizing HLA–DRw (human Ia) antigens were produced. The DA2 antibody binds a monomorphic determinant, common to all specificities and Genox3.53 antibody binds to a cross‐reacting site on the HLA–DRw1, 2 and 6 specificities.

Ramifications of the HLA-I Allelic Reactivity of Anti-HLA-E*01:01 and Anti-HLA-E*01:03 Heavy Chain Monoclonal Antibodies in Comparison with Anti-HLA-I IgG Reactivity in Non-Alloimmunized Males, Melanoma-Vaccine Recipients, and End-Stage Renal Disease Patients

open access: yesAntibodies, 2022
Serum anti-HLA-I IgG are present in non-alloimmunized males, cancer patients, and transplant recipients. Anti-HLA-I antibodies are also present in intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg), prepared from the plasma of thousands of healthy donors.

Cutting through the weeds: Evaluation of a novel adsorption with crossmatch cells and elution protocol to sharpen HLA antibody identification by the single antigen bead assay

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
The single antigen bead (SAB) assay is the most used test for the identification of HLA specific antibodies pre- and post-transplant. Nevertheless, detection of spurious reactivities remains a recognized assay limitation.

Significance of pretransplant and de novo anti-HLA antibody detection after simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation

open access: yesТрансплантология (Москва), 2022
Introduction. Nowadays, there are few studies concerning assessment of the clinical significance of determining the level of pretransplant and de novo anti-HLA antibodies in patients after simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation.Aim.

Causes of HLA-A2 reactive antibodies and analysis of their eplets

open access: yesZhongguo shuxue zazhi, 2023
Objective To analyze differences of eplets between the patient who generated HLA allele-specific antibodies after platelet transfusion with donors. Methods The HLA genotypes of the patient and donors were detected by PCR-SBT, and the Luminex single ...

Impact of donor-specific anti-HLA antibodies on graft failure and survival after reduced intensity conditioning-unrelated cord blood transplantation: a Eurocord, Société Francophone d’Histocompatibilité et d’Immunogénétique (SFHI) and Société Française de Greffe de Moelle et de Thérapie Cellulaire (SFGM-TC) analysis

open access: yesHaematologica, 2013
Graft failure is a major complication after unrelated cord blood transplantation. Presence of HLA-antibodies before cord blood transplantation may impact graft failure.

HLA antibody affinity determination: From HLA‐specific monoclonal antibodies to donor HLA specific antibodies (DSA) in patient serum

open access: yesHLA, 2023
Organs transplanted across donor‐specific HLA antibodies (DSA) are associated with a variety of clinical outcomes, including a high risk of acute kidney graft rejection. Unfortunately, the currently available assays to determine DSA characteristics are insufficient to clearly discriminate between potentially harmless and harmful DSA. To further explore

Behaviour of non-donor specific antibodies during rapid re-synthesis of donor specific HLA antibodies after antibody incompatible renal transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Background: HLA directed antibodies play an important role in acute and chronic allograft rejection. During viral infection of a patient with HLA antibodies, the HLA antibody levels may rise even though there is no new immunization with antigen ...

Genetic and serological heterogeneity of the supertypic HLA-B locus specificities Bw4 and Bw6 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Gene cloning and sequencing of the HLA-B locus split antigens B38 (B16.1) and B39 (B16.2) allowed localization of their subtypic as well as their public specificities HLA-Bw4 or -Bw6 to the c~-helical region of the c~ 1 domain flanked by the amino acid ...

The Pre-Transplant Non-HLA Antibody Burden Associates With the Development of Histology of Antibody-Mediated Rejection After Kidney Transplantation

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
BackgroundMany kidney allografts fail due to the occurrence of antibody-mediated rejection (ABMR), related to donor-specific anti-HLA antibodies (HLA-DSA). However, the histology of ABMR can also be observed in patients without HLA-DSA.
