Relationship between serum anti-heat shock protein 27 antibody levels and obesity [PDF]
Background Heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) is an intracellular molecular chaperone that is expressed at high levels following the exposure of cells to environmental stressors such as heat, toxins, and free radicals.

Translocation of HSP27 and MKBP in Ischemic Heart.
HSP27 and MKBP translocate from the cytosolic to myofibril fraction in ischemic rat heart as demonstrated by immunoblotting. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that ischemia enhances the Z line labeling of HSP27 and MKBP. Two dimensional gel electrophoresis showed that ischemia increases the hyperphosphorylated form of HSP27.

Pathophysiology of acute experimental pancreatitis: Lessons from genetically engineered animal models and new molecular approaches [PDF]
The incidence of acute pancreatitis is growing and worldwide population-based studies report a doubling or tripling since the 1970s. 25% of acute pancreatitis are severe and associated with histological changes of necrotizing pancreatitis. There is still

Effects of upregulation of Hsp27 expression on oocyte development and maturation derived from polycystic ovary syndrome. [PDF]
Heat shock protein 27 (Hsp27) is a heat shock protein family member which can inhibit apoptosis. Our previous studies reported down-regulated Hsp27 in ovarian tissue derived from women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) however, the exact effect of ...

Retinal pigment epithelium degeneration caused by aggregation of PRPF31 and the role of HSP70 family of proteins [PDF]
Background Mutations in pre-mRNA splicing factor PRPF31 can lead to retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Although the exact disease mechanism remains unknown, it has been hypothesized that haploinsufficiency might be involved in the ...

Randall's plaques (RP) serve as the nidus for calcium oxalate (CaOx) kidney stones. The current study reveals that hydroxyapatite (HAP) crystals activate the THY1–GSK3α/β–β‐catenin axis in renal interstitial fibroblasts (hRIFs), inducing FASLG secretion.

Harnessing ferroptosis from multilayer defense networks to nanoplatforms for specific cancer therapy
Nanomaterials target metabolically‐regulated ferroptosis for cancer therapy. Iron‐based or alternative nanoplatforms integrate ferroptosis with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or radiotherapy. They enable stimulus‐responsive therapies (photothermal, photodynamic, sonodynamic) activated by near‐infrared, light, or ultrasound, achieving potent synergistic ...
