Increased HSP27 correlates with malignant biological behavior of non-small cell lung cancer and predicts patient’s survival

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) has been found to be related to tumorigenesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the expression pattern and clinical significance of HSP27 in non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

The effect of extra virgin olive oil on HSP27 expression in the cerebral cortex of male Rattus norvegicus middle cerebral artery occlusion model

open access: yesFood & Nutrition Research
Background: Ischemic stroke produces oxidative stress in neurons and neuroglial, triggering a cellular response with HSP27 as one of the markers. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is reported to act as a neuroprotection by inhibiting reactive oxygen species,

Protein kinase Cδ and pharmacomechanical coupling: Re‐envisioning cerebral vascular control

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 15, Page 6324-6347, 1 August 2026.
Abstract figure legend Top, G‐protein coupled receptors trigger electromechanical and pharmacomechanical coupling, the latter via signal transduction pathways that inhibit myosin light chain phosphatase. Middle, the relative contribution of electromechanical and pharmacomechanical coupling varies with the concentration and the vessel area to which ...

Heat shock proteins in the assessment of the course and prognosis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction

open access: yesРоссийский кардиологический журнал
Aim. To analyze the relationship between the concentrations of circulating heat shock proteins (HSP): HSP27, HSP70 and cardiovascular HSP (cvHSP) with the course of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and the outcomes of acute ...

Heat Shock Protein 90: From Molecular Chaperone Function to Therapeutic Targeting in Malignancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 38, 9 July 2026.
In this review, an integrated conceptual framework linking HSP90's molecular chaperone functions to its pathological roles in cancer is proposed. HSP90 serves as a central node that integrates oncogenic signaling, buffers proteotoxic stress, maintains cancer stem cell plasticity, and shapes tumor‐immune interactions, all of which converge to drive ...

The Effects of Heat Shock Proteins on Delivery of HIV-1 Nef Antigen in Mammalian Cells

open access: yesVaccine Research, 2020
Introduction: Vaccine design is mainly considered as a therapeutic strategy to elicit HIV-specific immunity. DNA vaccines encoding an antigen and also an adjuvant can induce an effective adaptive immunity. Due to having numerous roles in viral infection,

Regulation of HSP27 on NF-κB pathway activation may be involved in metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma cells apoptosis

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2009
Background During the process of metastasis, cells are subjected to various apoptotic stimuli. Aberrant expression of apoptotic regulators often contribute to cell metastasis.

Hybrid Cell Membrane‐Coated NIR‐Photodegradable Carbon Nitride Nanozymes for Mangiferin Dual‐Targeted Delivery and Gas Mild Photothermal Immunotherapy Against Liver Fibrosis via the HIF‐1α/HSP27 Axis

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 4, July 2026.
We developed HMCCNs@MAN, a biomimetic drug–gas codelivery platform for precise mild photothermal immunotherapy of liver fibrosis. Coated with hybrid macrophage‐aHSC membranes, it enables dual‐targeted delivery of MAN to the hepatic fibrosis site. Under NIR laser irradiation, HMCCNs@MAN can generate oxygen, release MAN, and produce heat.

HSP27 associates with epithelial–mesenchymal transition, stemness and radioresistance of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, 2018
Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) has been shown to associate with cancer stem cells and radioresistance. However, it is obscure whether EMT itself or specific EMT regulators play causal roles in these properties of salivary adenoid cystic ...

Unlocking the Cardioprotective Action of Human Amniotic Mesenchymal Stem Cells: A Review of the Current Documents

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), such as heart failure (HF), myocardial ischemic‐reperfusion injury (MIRI), and myocardial infarction (MI), are defined as one of the most known causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide, responsible for 30% of global death rate.
