NMI Regulates Adipose Adaptive Thermogenesis Through TLR4/IRF3 Signaling to Promote Obesity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adipose tissue‐derived NMI is secreted under metabolic stress and suppresses adaptive thermogenesis through TLR4/IRF3 signaling, repressing the PPARα/PGC‐1α/UCP1 thermogenic transcriptional program. Genetic ablation or anti ‐ NMI monoclonal antibody treatment enhances energy expenditure, protects against DIO, and ameliorates adipose tissue inflammation,

Myeloid p38 activation maintains macrophage–liver crosstalk and BAT thermogenesis through IL‐12–FGF21 axis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Physiological activation of myeloid p38 controls macrophage IL‐12 production and crosstalk to the liver by modulating hepatic FGF21, and subsequently, brown adipose tissue thermogenesis during obesity Abstract Obesity features excessive fat accumulation in several body tissues and induces a state of chronic low‐grade inflammation that contributes to ...

An investigation of the early molecular regulation of adipogenesis in human mesenchymal stem cells.

open access: yes, 2006
Human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) can differentiate in vitro into various lineages including adipocytes, osteoblasts, and chondrocytes.

Defining properties of neural crest-derived progenitor cells from the apex of human developing tooth [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The connective tissue of the human tooth arises from cells that are derived from the cranial neural crest and, thus, are termed as "ectomesenchymal cells." Here, cells being located in a pad-like tissue adjacent to the apex of the developing tooth, which

A Periosteum‐Inspired Janus Piezoelectric Scaffold Using Bioenergetic‐Driven H‐Type Vascularization for Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A periosteum‐inspired Janus piezoelectric scaffold converts micromechanical forces into electrical signals and synergizes with controlled resveratrol release. This dual action reprograms endothelial metabolism, drives H‑type vessel formation, and restores bone–vessel coupling in diabetic bone defects.

AIF1+CSF1R+ MSCs, induced by TNF‐α, act to generate an inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Mesenchymal stem cells subset, educated by TNF‐α, are involved to generate inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis Abstract Background and Aims Increasing evidence suggests that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) home to injured local tissues and the tumor microenvironment in the liver.

De novo regeneration of dentin pulp complex mediated by Adipose derived stem cells in an immunodeficient albino rat model (Histological, histochemical and scanning electron microscopic Study)

open access: yesSaudi Dental Journal
Background: Dental tissue engineering is an alternative procedure for restoring damaged dental tissues. Adipose-derived stem cells are a new source of cells for regenerative endodontics in combination with scaffold materials.

Hair Follicle Seedling Cryomicroneedles from Hierarchical Microfluidic Organoid on a Chip

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this paper, a hierarchical microfluidic chip is developed to produce uniform hair follicle organoids (HFOs) in cryomicroneedles. Cryopreservation agents encapsulate HFOs, preserving viability and hair growth potential. The cryomicroneedles enable simple intradermal transplantation with good skin penetration.

Adipose Tissue-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells Induce Expansion of Interleukin-10-Producing Regulatory B Cells and Ameliorate Autoimmunity in a Murine Model of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

open access: yesCell Transplantation, 2015
Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent cells characterized by immunomodulatory properties and are therefore considered a promising tool for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.

MicroRNA-146a regulates human foetal femur derived skeletal stem cell differentiation by down-regulating SMAD2 and SMAD3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
MicroRNAs (miRs) play a pivotal role in a variety of biological processes including stem cell differentiation and function. Human foetal femur derived skeletal stem cells (SSCs) display enhanced proliferation and multipotential capacity indicating ...
