Blockade of CCR5+ T Cell Accumulation in the Tumor Microenvironment Optimizes Anti‐TGF‐β/PD‐L1 Bispecific Antibody

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 43, November 20, 2024.
Anti‐TGF‐β/PD‐L1 bispecific antibody YM101 enhances the anti‐tumor immune response but mediates the recruitment of immunosuppressive CCR5+ T cells through neutrophils. These cells highly express immunosuppressive molecules and undermine the immunotherapy efficacy.

The intellectual base and research fronts of IL‐18: A bibliometric review of the literature from WoSCC (2012–2022)

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 57, Issue 11, November 2024.
Clustered network map displaying the frequency of hotspot words related to IL‐18. VOSviewer software was used to conduct co‐occurrence cluster analysis on keywords, with a minimum occurrence frequency of five times per keyword. A total of 3279 keywords were cleaned, meaningless words were removed, synonyms were merged, and 171 keywords were selected ...

Interleukin-18 as a Therapeutic Target in Western-diet Induced Cardiomyopathy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Background: Heart Failure (HF) is characterized by impaired cardiac function with symptoms of dyspnea, fatigue and exercise intolerance. Western diet (WD), a diet high in saturated fats and sugars, causes systemic increase in IL-18, a cytokine elevated ...

Interleukin-18 Binding Protein (IL-18BP): A Long Journey From Discovery to Clinical Application

open access: yesImmune Network
IL-18 binding protein (IL-18BP) was originally discovered in 1999 while attempting to identify an IL-18 receptor ligand binding chain (also known as IL-18Rα) by subjecting concentrated human urine to an IL-18 ligand affinity column. The IL-18 ligand chromatography purified molecule was analyzed by protein microsequencing. The result revealed a novel 40

Effects of statins on T H [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Background. Activation of the innate immune system by cholesterol accelerates atherosclerosis. High levels or modified forms of cholesterol stimulate release of the inflammatory cytokines IL-12 and IL-18 that synergistically stimulate T lymphocytes to ...

Decoys and regulatory "receptors" of the IL-1/Toll Like Receptor superfamily

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2013
Members of the IL-1 family play a key role in innate and adaptive immunity and in the pathogenesis of diverse diseases. Members of IL-1R like receptor (ILR) family include signalling molecules and negative regulators.

Interleukin-18 Expression Increases in the Aorta and Plasma of Patients with Acute Aortic Dissection

open access: yesMediators of Inflammation, 2019
Background. Interleukin- (IL-) 18 is a proinflammatory cytokine related to cardiovascular diseases, including hypertension and atherosclerosis. This study is aimed at determining whether IL-18 is related to aortic dissection (AD) and identifying the ...

CYTOKINE-PRODUCING POTENTIAL OF BLOOD CELLS AND SERUM CYTOKINES IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC ATROPHIC GASTRITIS

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2014
. Cytokine-producing potential of peripheral blood cells was determined as a stimulation index with polyclonal activators (i.e., a cytokine production ratio of stimulated versus resting cells), as well as concentrations of cytokines were investigated in ...
