NRASQ61R Expression in Lymphatic Endothelial Cells Causes Enlarged Vessels, Hemorrhagic Chylous Effusions, and High Mortality in a Mouse Model of Kaposiform Lymphangiomatosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

IL‐37: An anti‐inflammatory cytokine with antitumor functions

open access: yesCancer Reports, 2018
AbstractBackgroundIL‐37 is a newly identified IL‐1 family cytokine. Unlike other members in IL‐1 family, IL‐37 has been demonstrated to be an anti‐inflammatory cytokine in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. IL‐37 is regarded as a dual‐function cytokine as both the extracellular and intracellular IL‐37 are biologically functional.

The Role of IL-37 in Non-Cancerous Diseases

open access: yesPathology & Oncology Research, 2016
