T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

Sequence diversity within a subgroup of mouse immunoglobulin kappa chains controlled by the IgK-Ef2 locus. [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of experimental medicine, 1981
We previously showed that a chromosome 6 locus, IgK-Ef2, controls a pair of prominent bands in normal mouse light-chain isoelectric focusing profiles. Screening of myeloma light chains derived from BALB/c mice (an IgK-EF2 alpha strain) led to the identification of seven light chains cofocusing with the polymorphic bands controlled by IgK-Ef2.

A Scalable Framework for Comprehensive Typing of Polymorphic Immune Genes from Long‐Read Data

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SpecImmune introduces a unified computational framework optimized for long‐read sequencing to resolve over 400 highly polymorphic immune genes. This scalable approach achieves high‐resolution typing, enabling the discovery of cross‐family co‐evolutionary networks and population‐specific diversity.

The Influence of Renal Function Impairment on Kappa Free Light Chains in Cerebrospinal Fluid

open access: yesJournal of Central Nervous System Disease, 2021
Background The determination of kappa free light chains (KFLC) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is an upcoming biomarker for the detection of an intrathecal immunoglobulin synthesis.

Immunoglobulin allotypes of rabbit kappa chains: polymorphism of a control mechanism regulating closely linked duplicated genes? [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1976
The amino acid sequence of the constant (CK) region from the kappa immunoglobulin chains of a b9 rabbit is compared with the CK sequences, taken from the literature, of a b4 rabbit. These CK regions differ by 33% of their amino acid sequences and by three sequence insertions or deletions (sequence gaps).

Peptide‐Incorporated Biomaterials Promote Regeneration of Peripheral Nerve Injuries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peptide‐incorporated biomaterials provide precise, tunable biological cues that mimic functional protein domains to regulate behaviors of neurons, Schwann cells, immune cells, and endothelial cells, thereby enhancing axon elongation, Schwann cell support, inflammatory microenvironment modulation, and vascularization, offering a promising alternative to

Lambda light chain-induced monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance, manifesting with Fanconi Syndrome and osteomalacia

open access: yesBMC Nephrology, 2022
Background Monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance (MGRS) encompasses a heterogeneous group of kidney diseases in which a monoclonal immunoglobulin secreted by a clone of B cells or plasma cells causes kidney damage without meeting the hematological ...

The kappa/lambda ratio of surface immunoglobulin light chain as a valuable parameter for MRD assessment in CLL with atypical immunophenotype

open access: yesScientific Reports
In recent years, the significance of detecting minimal/measurable residual disease (MRD) in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) has increased due to the availability of highly effective therapeutic agents.
