Helicobacter pylori‐Induced Persistent IGF2BP1 Activation Promotes Ferroptosis Resistance in Gastric Tumorigenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Helicobacter pylori infection induces sustained upregulation of the RNA‐binding protein IGF2BP1 in gastric epithelial cells, establishing a persistent epitranscriptomic program. IGF2BP1 stabilizes SLC7A11 mRNA in an m6A‐dependent manner to suppress ferroptosis and promote epithelial survival under oxidative stress. Pharmacological inhibition of IGF2BP1

In vitro gastrointestinal digestion of liquid and semi-liquid dairy matrixes

open access: yesLWT - Food Science and Technology, 2014
Abstract Protein digestion in two liquid dairy matrixes with different heat treatments (pasteurized and sterilized milks) and in one semi-liquid dairy matrix (stirred-yogurt) was investigated using an in vitro gastrointestinal digestion model. After buccal digestion, significantly lower amount of soluble proteins were measured in yogurt than in ...

Synthetic Shewanella‐Bacillus Microbial Consortia for Enhanced Metal Oxide Leaching From Spent Lithium‐Ion Batteries Using Brewing Wastewater as Leaching Agent

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A recycling approach of spent lithium‐ion batteries is developed using brewing wastewater as the leaching agent and an engineering microbial consortium as the biocatalyst. Shewanella oneidensis reduces spent LiNixCoyMn1‐x‐yO2 cathodes via extracellular electron transfer, while Bacillus subtilis removes residual ethanol to eliminate inhibition.

Effect of in Vitro Gastrointestinal Digestion on Bioactivity of Poultry Protein Hydrolysate

open access: yesCurrent Research in Nutrition and Food Science Journal, 2016
In vitro simulated gastrointestinal digestion (GID) was performed to evaluate changes in bioactive properties of Poultry protein hydrolysate HCP Premium P150 (PPH) showing strong antioxidant (448.2±37.0 µM TE/g of protein) and moderate Angiotensin-I converting enzyme inhibitory activity (IC50 0.617±0.022 mg/ml).

Spatiotemporally Controlled Sequential Chemo‐Immunotherapy Activates Pyroptosis for Robust Anti‐Tumor Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A glutathione and ultrasound dual‐responsive cerasome achieves sequential co‐delivery of gemcitabine and BMS1166 in tumors. Chemotherapy priming followed by on‐demand PD‐L1 blockade synergistically amplifies anti‐tumor immunity, inhibiting primary tumor growth, distant metastasis and inducing durable immune memory.
