The complexity of the inclusion operation on OFDD's
IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1998Ordered functional decision diagrams (OFDD's) are a data structure for representation and manipulation of Boolean functions. A polynomial time algorithm for the test whether f/spl les/g for functions f and g given by OFDD's is presented. This is the last basic operation on OFDD's whose complexity was unknown.

Inclusion Complexes of Terfenadine-Cyclodextrins
Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 1995Terfenadine, a poorly soluble, H1-antihistamine was solubilised using B-cyclodextrin and its derivatives. A molar ratio of 1:1 of the drug and cyclodextrin was prepared by the kneading method. The inclusion complex was characterised and evaluated by Differential Scanning Calorimetry & X-ray Diffractometry.

On the algebraic complexity of set equality and inclusion
Information Processing Letters, 2004We present a linear-time algorithm in the algebraic computation tree model for checking whether two sets of integers are equal. The significance of this result is in the fact that it shows that set equality testing is computationally easier when the elements of the sets are restricted to be integers.

One of the most important characteristics of cyclodextrins is the formation of inclusion complexes with various compounds (guests), in which guest compounds are included in the cavity of cyclodextrins (host) [20, 65–67]. Guest compounds range from polar reagents such as acids, amines, small ions such as ClO 4 - , SCN-, and halogen anions [68] to highly

Inclusion complexes of ketosteroids with β-cyclodextrin
Steroids, 2003Inclusion complexes of several steroid derivatives with beta-cyclodextrin (7) were studied in dimethylsulfoxide solution. The investigated molecules were ketosteroids with different functional groups on the skeleton: 3beta-acetoxypregn-5-en-20-one (1), 3beta-acetoxypregna-5,16-dien-20-one (2), 3beta-acetoxyandrost-5-en-17-one (3), 3beta-hydroxyandrost ...

Inclusive rigour for complexity
Journal of Development Effectiveness, 2015Rigour can be reductionist or inclusive. To learn about and understand conditions of complexity, emergence, nonlinearity and unpredictability, the inclusive rigour of mixed methods has been a step in the right direction. From analysis of mixed methods and participatory approaches and methods, this article postulates canons for inclusive rigour for ...

Evidence of Starch Inclusion Complexation with Lactones
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2001Starch, in particular the linear amylose, is able to form inclusion complexes with a wide spectrum of ligand molecules, among them flavor compounds. The complexing ability of a homologous series of gamma- and delta-lactones with potato starch was followed by amperometric iodine titration, differential scanning calorimetry, and wide-angle X-ray ...

Inclusion complexation with cyclodextrins
Minerva Biotecnologica, 2000Inclusion of guest molecules into the hydrophobic cavity of various cyclodextrins changes the properties of these guest molecules, which can be used for a broad variety of applications. Prediction models obtained from QSAR studies lead to a better understanding of the inclusion mechanism.

Zeolites provide the largest and most useful family of porous host crystals, stable in the presence or absence of guest molecules. An account is given of their structural characteristics in terms of intracrystalline channels and cavities of molecular dimensions; their total intracrystalline pore volumes; and the intracrystalline distribution patterns ...
