Inclusion Complexation of Nimesulide with β-Cyclodextrins

Drug Development and Industrial Pharmacy, 1999
Nimesulide (NM), a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) has poor aqueous solubility. The present study describes the complexation of NM with beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) and its derivative hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin (HP beta-CD). The complexation was studied by phase solubility method, Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy ...

Crystalline inclusion complex of a calixarene with a nitroxide

Chem. Commun., 2008
The first capsular crystalline inclusion complex of para-hexanoyl calix[4]arene with stable nitroxyl radical DEPN has been isolated and showed a low mobility of the radical in the capsule.

Theoretical Studies on Inclusion Complexes of Cyclodextrins

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2009
Quantum chemical calculations and molecular dynamics simulations are carried out to study the host-guest inclusion complexes of cyclodextrins (alpha-, beta-, and gamma-CDs) with small guest molecules such as H(2)O, NH(3), NH(4)(+), C(6)H(6), and bisimidazolyl compounds.

The Structures of Macrocyclic Heterocyclophane Inclusion Complexes

Journal of Inclusion Phenomena, 1984
Crystal and molecular structures of (1:1) molecular complexes of N,N′,N″,N‴ -tetramethyl–2,11,20,29-tetraaza [3.3.3.3] paracyclophane (1) with CHC13, CH2C12, CH3CN and CO2 are reported. The macrocycle has square-box structure, giving hydrophobic cavity surrounded by four benzene rings. The guest molecules are included in the cavity.

Asymmetric Inclusion Process as a Showcase of Complexity

Physical Review Letters, 2012
The asymmetric inclusion process is a lattice-gas model which replaces the "fermionic" exclusion interactions of the asymmetric exclusion process by "bosonic" inclusion interactions. Combining together probabilistic and Monte Carlo analyses, we showcase the model's rich statistical complexity-which ranges from "mild" to "wild" displays of randomness ...

Cyclodextrin inclusion complexation

1989
The type of bonded phase for HPLC based on the class of oligosaccharides known as cyclodextrins employs inclusion complexing to achieve chiral selectivity. How inclusion complexing accomplishes this is best understood by examining the physical structure of cyclodextrins.

Investigation of inclusion complex of Epothilone A with cyclodextrins

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2014
The inclusion complexation of Epothilone A with native cyclodextrin (β- or γ-CD) and its derivative hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPβCD) were prepared. Their behavior, characterization, and binding ability were investigated in both solution and the solid state by means of UV-vis, NMR, XRD, DSC and SEM.

Nanoaggregation of inclusion complexes of glibenclamide with cyclodextrins

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2017
Glibenclamide is a sulfonylurea used for the oral treatment of type II diabetes mellitus. This drug shows low bioavailability as consequence of its low solubility. In order to solve this problem, the interaction with cyclodextrin has been proposed.
