Decoding Undesirable Inflammatory Responses of Nucleic Acid‐Delivering Lipid Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) enable efficient nucleic acid delivery, but their immunogenicity is a double‐edged sword. This review explores LNP‐driven innate and adaptive immunity, covering lipid components, endosomal escape, and nucleic acid sensing.

Inhibition of vascular calcification by inositol phosphates derivatized with ethylene glycol oligomers

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
Cardiovascular calcification is a serious pathology for which effective pharmacological treatments are lacking. Here the authors show that an optimized oligo(ethylene glycol) derivative of inositol phosphate interferes with calcium phosphate ...

Transcriptomic validation of a 7,12 Dimethylbenz(a)anthracene (DMBA)‐induced leukemia rat model: Parallels with human leukemogenesis

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
7,12‐Dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) could induce leukemia and other types of cancers in rat models. Transcriptomics revealed gene expression profile that parallels with human leukemia. DMBA‐induced differential gene expression could validate the developed rat model.

A sensitive method for the quantification of the mass of inositol phosphates using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1990
A sensitive method to directly measure the mass of inositol phosphates from biologic samples is described. The procedure uses ammonium sulfate gradient elution anion exchange column chromatography to isolate inositol monophosphate, bisphosphate ...

An Inositol 1,3,4,5,6-Pentakisphosphate 2-Kinase 1 Mutant with a 33-nt Deletion Showed Enhanced Tolerance to Salt and Drought Stress in Rice

open access: yesPlants, 2020
OsIPK1 encodes inositol 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate 2-kinase, which catalyzes the conversion of myo-inositol-1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate to myo-inositol-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexakisphosphate (IP6) in rice.

Importance of Radioactive Labelling to Elucidate Inositol Polyphosphate Signalling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Inositol polyphosphates, in their water-soluble or lipid-bound forms, represent a large and multifaceted family of signalling molecules. Some inositol polyphosphates are well recognised as defining important signal transduction pathways, as in the case ...

Synthesis and Structure-Activity Relationships of Pyridoxal-6-arylazo-5'-phosphate and Phosphonate Derivatives as P2 Receptor Antagonists. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Novel analogs of the P2 receptor antagonist pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-6-phenylazo-2',4'-disulfonate (PPADS) were synthesized. Modifications were made through functional group substitution on the sulfophenyl ring and at the phosphate moiety through the ...

Di‐myo‐inositol‐1, 1′‐phosphate: A new inositol phosphate isolated from Pyrococcus woesei

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 1992
A new inositol derivative could be isolated from the Archaeum Pyrococcus woesei and identified as di‐myo‐inositol‐1,1′‐phosphate by 1H, 31P NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and thin layer chromatograpy. In P. woesel, this inositol phosphate represents the dominant counterion of K+ which ranges from 500 to 600 mM. The role of the potassium salt of di‐

Photocaged Oxytocin and Vasopressin Probes to Decipher Neuropeptide Signalling With High Spatiotemporal Resolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Novel and biocompatible photoactivatable oxytocin and vasopressin probes, utilising state‐of‐the‐art photocages, remain inactive in the dark. Light exposure facilitates rapid spatiotemporal receptor activation and phospholipase C (PLC)‐mediated downstream signalling. Figure created in https://BioRender.com.
