Resonant standing waves generate large‐area lattices of liquid‐crystal topological defects that are permanently encoded into polymer coatings by photopolymerization. The preserved director architecture produces thermally reconfigurable surface topographies while maintaining programmable optical functionality, demonstrating a scalable strategy for ...

USe3 is introduced as an actinide van der Waals semiconductor that mirrors the quasi‐one‐dimensional physics of transition‐metal trichalcogenides. Polarization‐resolved Raman spectroscopy on exfoliated flakes maps strong in‐plane phonon anisotropy and strain‐tunable mode shifts.

A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)

High‐Efficiency Deep Blue Single‐Gaussian Europium(II) Emitters and Their Emitter‐Host Interactions
Crown‐ether ligands and carborate anions enable vacuum‐processable Eu(II) emitters with efficient single‐Gaussian deep‐blue luminescence. Combined photophysical and computational analyses reveal that excited‐electron confinement and steric shielding of the europium center jointly govern compatibility with OLED host materials, establishing molecular ...

Modeling intrinsic spirituality in gambling disorder
Background: Spirituality is related to an individual’s relationship with a Transcendent Being or Ultimate Reality, which may contribute to salutary human experience and serve as a motive for attitudes and behaviors. In contrast to studies in the field of

Computational Prediction of Intrinsic Disorder in Proteins
Computational prediction of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) is a mature research field. These methods predict disordered residues and regions in an input protein chain. More than 60 predictors of IDPs have been developed.

Intrinsic Disorder in Human RNA-Binding Proteins
Although RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are known to be enriched in intrinsic disorder, no previous analysis focused on RBPs interacting with specific RNA types.

Intrinsically Disordered Proteins and Intrinsically Disordered Protein Regions
Annual Review of Biochemistry, 2014Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and IDP regions fail to form a stable structure, yet they exhibit biological activities. Their mobile flexibility and structural instability are encoded by their amino acid sequences. They recognize proteins, nucleic acids, and other types of partners; they accelerate interactions and chemical reactions between

Intrinsically disordered protein
Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modelling, 2001Proteins can exist in a trinity of structures: the ordered state, the molten globule, and the random coil. The five following examples suggest that native protein structure can correspond to any of the three states (not just the ordered state) and that protein function can arise from any of the three states and their transitions.
