A green synthesis of isatoic anhydrides from isatins with urea–hydrogen peroxide complex and ultrasound [PDF]
The oxidation of isatins at room temperature, using the cheap and environmentally friendly urea-hydrogen peroxide complex and ultrasonic irradiation, has been investigated. The ultrasonic irradiation dramatically reduces the reaction time.

Imide and isatin derivatives as β-lactam mimics of β-lactam antibiotics [PDF]
Activated γ-lactams, which are derivatives of succinimide, phthalimide and isatin with suitable elements of molecular recognition, have been synthesised as mimics of the ß-lactam antibiotics and their chemical and biological reactivity ...

5-(Trifluoromethoxy)isatin [PDF]
THE TITLE COMPOUND [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 5-(trifluoro-meth-oxy)-1H-indole-2,3-dione], C9H4F3NO3, crystallized with two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit. Inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules to form layers parallel to the ab plane. In addition, π-π stacking inter-actions are observed with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.721 (1) Å. The

There has been growing interest in the synthesis of new derivatives from isatin, found in Isatis genus. Our objectives were to characterize the antinociceptive mechanism of action of isatin, N-methyl-isatin (MI) and N-methyl-3-(2-oxopropyl)-3-hydroxy-2-oxindole (MOI).Substances (0.1-10mg/kg, p.o.) were studied in chemical (paw licking induced by ...
