Synthesis of 3-aminoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridines via three-component reaction in the 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol-water two-phase systems [PDF]
An efficient synthesis of 3-aminoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridines via three-component reaction from aromatic aldehydes, 2-aminopyridines and isonitriles at room temperature in water/2,2,2-trifluoroethanol two-phase systems is described.

Silent Partners in the Mill: Unveiling the Role of Additives in Mechanochemical Synthesis
Mechanochemistry offers a sustainable, solvent‐free alternative to traditional synthesis, often enhanced by additives in a process known as additive‐assisted grinding. This review discusses how various additives, including liquids, ionic solids, and advanced materials like ionic liquids and piezoelectric compounds, improve reaction efficiency ...

Studies on the interaction of isocyanides with imines: reaction scope and mechanistic variations
The interaction of imines with isocyanides has been studied. The main product results from a sequential process involving the attack of two units of isocyanide, under Lewis acid catalysis, upon the carbon–nitrogen double bond of the imine to form the 4 ...

This paper reports the tandem reaction strategy of the Passerini/Staudinger/aza-Wittig reaction based on the in situ capture of isocyanides. According to this strategy, isocyanides are synthesized in situ and immediately work as the substrate for the ...

The ALMA-PILS survey: first detection of methyl isocyanide (CH3NC) in a solar-type protostar [PDF]
Context. Methyl isocyanide (CH3NC) is the isocyanide with the largest number of atoms confirmed in the interstellar medium (ISM), but it is not an abundant molecule, having only been detected towards a handful of objects.

Identification of Natural Isonitriles Through Ligation to an Azomethine Imine Probe
The azomethine imine (AMI)–isonitrile (NC) ligation allowed for the chemoselective detection of natural isonitriles in bacteria and fungi. The reactivity‐based screening establishes a new stereogenic center, thereby allowing for facile distinction between chiral and achiral isonitriles. The work also unraveled a unique reactivity of isonitriles bearing

2D Rhodium‐Isocyanide Frameworks
Abstract2D metal‐organic frameworks (2D MOFs) are emerging organic van der Waals materials with great potential in various applications owing to their structural diversity, and tunable optoelectronic properties. So far, most reported 2D MOFs rely on metal‐heteroatom coordination (e.g., metal–nitrogen, metal–oxygen, and metal–sulfur); synthesis of metal‐

Phosphoramidate and Silyl Amine Mediated Synthesis of Isocyanide Cyclopentadienone Iron Complexes
Carbonyl ligands in cyclopentadienone iron complexes are replaced by isocyanide ligands without using free, malodorous isocyanides. The reaction takes place via an Aza‐Wittig‐type reaction starting from primary amines, employing either phosphoramidates or silyl amines as intermediate reagents.
