Nowadays, despite the instauration of several control strategies, animal trypanosomiasis continues to be reported all over Uganda. Few canine African trypanosomiasis (CAT) studies have been carried out, yet dogs are known Trypanosoma reservoirs that share identical home ranges with livestock and serve as parasite link between livestock and humans. This

Molecular Identification of ABC2 Transporter Gene Encode Protein Ngawi Trypanosoma evansi Isolate that suspected resistance to Isometamidium Chloride [PDF]
This study aims to determine the profile of the ABC2 encoding transporter on Trypanosoma evansi (T. evansi) Ngawi isolates, Indonesia, exposed with Isometamidium Chloride (ISM). This study used blood samples of mice containing Trypanosoma evansi that had

Effect of isometamidium hydrochloride on Trypanosoma evansi infections in rats [PDF]
Effect of Isometamidium treatment of rats infected with Trypanosoma evansi was studied under experimental condition. The infection resulted in 100 per cent mortality by 7 day post treatment (DPT) in the infected untreated rats (Gr.II) and Isometamidium-HCl exerted 90 percent anti-trypanosomal efficacy.
