Derivatives of MOPS: promising scaffolds for SARS coronaviruses Macro domain‐targeted inhibition

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The SARS‐CoV/CoV‐2 genome encodes non‐structural protein 3, which contains a ‘Macro domain’. This protein domain exhibits antagonistic activity against interferon signaling, which disrupts the host innate immune response and can thus mediate viral escape, highlighting its therapeutic potential.

Fe(II)/Et3N-Relay-catalyzed domino reaction of isoxazoles with imidazolium salts in the synthesis of methyl 4-imidazolylpyrrole-2-carboxylates, its ylide and betaine derivatives

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
A simple approach was developed for the synthesis of methyl 4-imidazolylpyrrole-2-carboxylates from easily available compounds, 5-methoxyisoxazoles and phenacylimidazolium salts under hybrid Fe(II)/Et3N relay catalysis.

Non‐Covalent Molecular Interaction Rules to Define Internal Dimer Coordinates for Quantum Mechanical Potential Energy Scans

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 46, Issue 14, May 30, 2025.
A molecular interaction rules (MIR) workflow for generating potential energy scans of non‐covalent interactions between molecules in well‐defined orientations is presented. This approach allows for systematic investigation of intermolecular interactions across a wide range of functional groups and model chemistries, facilitating the optimization of ...

Combined experimental and theoretical studies of regio- and stereoselectivity in reactions of β-isoxazolyl- and β-imidazolyl enamines with nitrile oxides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2016
Reactions of β-azolyl enamines and nitrile oxides were studied by both experimental and theoretical methods. (E)-β-(4-Nitroimidazol-5-yl), (5-nitroimidazol-4-yl) and isoxazol-5-yl enamines smoothly react regioselectively at room temperature in dioxane ...

Novel Pyrazole-Hydrazone Derivatives Containing an Isoxazole Moiety: Design, Synthesis, and Antiviral Activity

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
In this study, a series of novel pyrazole-hydrazone derivatives containing an isoxazole moiety were synthesized. Antiviral bioassays indicated that some of the title compounds exhibited better in vivo antiviral activities against tobacco mosaic virus ...

Deficiency of the Synaptic Adhesion Protein Leucine‐Rich Repeat Transmembrane Protein 4 Like 1 Affects Anxiety and Aggression in Zebrafish

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 241, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim Leucine‐rich repeat transmembrane proteins (LRRTMs) are synaptic adhesion proteins that regulate synapse development and function. They interact transsynaptically with presynaptic binding partners to promote presynaptic differentiation. Polymorphisms of LRRTM4, one of the four members of this protein family, have been linked to multiple ...
