Deciphering Role of Endophytes in Plant Defences and Biotic Stress Resilience Across Families
ABSTRACT Plant families generate distinct repertoires of specialised metabolites that govern their biotic interactions. Endophytes strengthen host plant defence mechanisms and tolerance to biotic challenges by upregulating metabolite biosynthesis, modifying precursor compounds into more potent forms, or by directly synthesising analogous defence ...

Optimization of fermentation medium for Iturin A by improved artificial neural network approach

Adaptive Responses of Tropical Crops: A Multi‐Scale Omics Integrated Perspective
Tropical crops integrate genomic, morphological, physiological, and ecological adaptations to thrive under extreme and variable environments. This review highlights how natural selection, domestication, and breeding shape stress resilience, resource‐use strategies, and productivity in sugarcane, banana, cassava, rubber and oil palm, offering new routes

Bioprospecting Indoor Bacteria Producing Bioactive Metabolites
The indoor environments served as easily accessible habitats for bacteria producing mitochondrial toxins and ionophores, effects exhibited by known antiparasitic drugs and effects useful in mitochondrial research. This study describes the bacterial species and genera producing toxic peptide antibiotics and identifies some of their biological targets in

Influence of the Culture Medium on the Production of Iturin A by Bacillus subtilis [PDF]
The production of iturin A by Bacillus subtilis was studied with respect to the composition of the culture medium. Increasing phosphate concentrations did not modify the antibiotic yield. Fructose, sucrose and mannitol were better carbon sources than glucose for antibiotic production.
