Hemin‐dependent induction and internalization of CD38 in K562 cells
AbstractThe cell surface antigen, CD38, is a bifunctional ecto‐enzyme, which is predominantly expressed on hematopoietic cells during differentiation. In the present study, it is shown that hemin treatment of K562 cells gives rise to induction of enzymatic activities inherent to CD38.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

This study demonstrates that iron overload triggers widespread chromatin compaction and transcriptional repression in human granulosa cells, recapitulating features of endometriosis. The epigenetic reprogramming is orchestrated by a TFEB‐SOX4‐SWI/SNF axis, with SOX4 acting as a central, dosage‐sensitive regulator.
