Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Mouse Idh3a mutations cause retinal degeneration and reduced mitochondrial function
Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) is an enzyme required for the production of α-ketoglutarate from isocitrate. IDH3 generates the NADH used in the mitochondria for ATP production, and is a tetramer made up of two α, one β and one γ subunit. Loss-of-function

Objective A leading cause of death among patients with scleroderma (SSc), interstitial lung disease (ILD) remains challenging to prognosticate. The discovery of biomarkers that accurately determine which patients would benefit from close monitoring and aggressive therapy would be an essential clinical tool.

An oral nanoplatform, MOP@T@D, which can maintain glucose homeostasis and restore islet β cells in diabetic rats is developed. It achieves efficient intestinal absorption and liver‐targeted delivery. The nanoparticle disintegrates only in response to hyperglycemia to release insulin on demand and provides antioxidant protection through selenoprotein ...

Discovery of a second citric acid cycle complex
Together, Nobel Prize honoured work, mathematics, physics and the laws of nature have drawn a concept of clockwise cycling carboxylic acids in Krebs’ Citric Acid Cycle. A Citric Acid Cycle complex is defined by specific substrate, product and regulation.

The conversion of citrulline to arginine in kidney [PDF]
Glycocyamine is formed in the kidney by the transfer of the amidine group of arginine to the nitrogen atom of glycine. In the study of this reaction it was observed that glycocyamine was also formed from citrulline and glycine.
