Patch Testing in Individuals With Diabetes Using Medical Devices. Part 1—Contact Allergy to Baseline Series Allergens

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 6, Page 624-634, June 2026.
The contact allergy prevalence in individuals with diabetes and in diabetes medical device (MD) users is unknown. This study in 204 diabetes MD users (114 with rash to diabetes MDs, 90 without) aimed at investigating the contact allergy prevalence to baseline series allergens. Contact allergies to sesquiterpene lactone mix and myroxylon pereirae resin (

Catalytic Enantioselective Synthesis of Conformationally Stable C(sp2)−C(sp3) Naphthocoumarin Atropisomers

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
The enantioselective synthesis of naphthocoumarin adducts via a tandem organocatalytic 1,4‐addition/decarboxylation delivers excellent control over a newly forged stereocenter and yields configurationally stable synclinal atropisomers. The process features broad substrate scope and scalability, and its structural and mechanistic foundations are ...

Asymmetric Transformations of α,β‐Unsaturated Oxazolidinones Catalyzed by C2‐Symmetric Chiral Iron Triad Complexes

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
This review highlights the evolution of highly enantioselective oxazolidinone transformations enabled by C2‐symmetric ligands, with emphasis on chiral iron triad complexes as cost‐effective, environmentally benign alternatives to late‐transition‐metal catalysts.

Strategic Functionalization of Benzylic C(sp3)H Bonds: Unlocking the Potential for Enantioselective δ‐Lactonization

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
Recent advancements in bio‐inspired Mn‐catalyzed directed oxidations of carboxylic acids have provided promising pathways for the synthesis of a wide variety of chiral γ‐lactones. In our current study, however, we have established a catalytic route using 0.25 mol% of electron‐rich Mn‐catalyst Mn(dMMbpbp) that redirects the lactonization reaction to the

Elucidation of the Conformational Rate Processes of the Macrocyclic Lactone (–)‐Nonenolide Through Variable Temperature NMR, Quantum Mechanics, and Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 17, 5 May 2026.
The conformational rate processes that influence the NMR spectra of the ten‐membered lactone (–)‐nonenolide are elucidated using VT‐NMR, QM calculations and MD simulations. Reorientation of the alkene moiety with respect to the ring is identified as the slow exchange process.
