Extruded linseed and linseed oil as alternative to soybean meal and soybean oil in diets for fattening lambs [PDF]

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2009
The study evaluated the effects of replacing soybean meal and soybean oil respectively with extruded linseed and linseed oil on the productive performances and meat quality traits in lambs slaughtered at 90 days. Lambs weaned at 40 days were divided into 3 groups (N.=10) fed ad libitum for 6 weeks as follows: C (control, commercial feed containing ...

Dual Functions of Dietary Rubber Seed Oil Supplementation: Enriching N‐3 Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids and Enhancing Antioxidant Capacity in Pekin Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Dietary RSO supplementation improved growth performance, simultaneously enriched n‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (n‐3 PUFA), and enhanced antioxidant capacity in Pekin ducks, which suggested that RSO has the potential to be a novel n‐3 PUFA source and an antioxidant for Pekin ducks to generate animal functional foods.

Effects of the replacement of corn oil with linseed oil on fatty acid composition and the expression of lipogenic genes in broiler chickens

open access: yesCzech Journal of Animal Science, 2014
The effect of dietary 18:2n-6/18:3n-3 ratio (by the replacement of corn oil with linseed oil) on n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) enrichment in breast muscle of broiler chickens and the expression of lipogenic genes were investigated.

Complex Material Analysis of Reverse Painting on Glass by Means of Photography, Microscopy, and Spectroscopic Techniques

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
The material research of reverse paintings on glass combines infrared spectroscopy and liquid chromatography–mass spectroscopy to investigate the binders. Observation methods (macro‐ and microphotography) and the scanning electron microscopy with energy‐dispersive spectrometer are used for research of metal composition. Reverse paintings on glass are a
