SERS‐AI‐LUA‐Driven Salivary Diagnosis of Head and Neck Cancer Using Graphene‐Assisted Plasmonic Nanocorals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The developed graphene‐assisted plasmonic nanocoral platform enables sensitive, label‐free surface‐enhanced Raman scattering analysis of salivary metabolites for head and neck cancer (HNC) detection. When combined with machine learning classification and nonnegative least squares‐based spectral deconvolution, this approach achieves 98% diagnostic ...

Lipogenesis in rabbit adipose tissue

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1975
Previous reports that rabbit adipose tissue does not synthesize fatty acids at significant rates led us to study in detail the pathways of lipogenesis and glyceroneogenesis in this tissue. We found that rabbit adipose tissue has a low capacity for denovo fatty acid synthesis from glucose but a high capacity for synthesis from pyruvate and acetate.

Brain leptin reduces liver lipids by increasing hepatic triglyceride secretion and lowering lipogenesis

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
Hepatic steatosis develops when lipid influx and production exceed the liver’s ability to utilize/export triglycerides. Obesity promotes steatosis and is characterized by leptin resistance. A role of leptin in hepatic lipid handling is highlighted by the

Innovative insights into the effects of a high‐sucrose diet on pancreatic health and the therapeutic role of empagliflozin in type 2 diabetes: An experimental study

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Histologic assessment of pancreatic tissues using the H&E method (Scale bar = 100 μm. Images were captured at 400×). A high‐sucrose diet induced structural damage in pancreatic tissue, whereas empagliflozin treatment markedly improved these histological alterations.

Multi‐Omics Insights Into the Role of Fructooligosaccharides Supplementation in Alleviating Salpingitis in Laying Hens

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Multi‐omics analysis revealed that FOS supplementation increased the abundance of Phascolarctobacterium, GCA‐900066575, Shuttleworthia, Olsenella, Eubacterium_hallii_group while decreasing Alistipes. It also influenced the metabolism of S‐lactoylglutathione, p‐cresol glucuronate, 2‐phenylethanol glucuronide, propionic acid, dulcitol, and inhibited the ...
