Immunoproteasome and LMP2 polymorphism in aged and Alzheimer's disease brains

Neurobiology of Aging, 2006
In this study, we investigated the presence and role of immunoproteasome and its LMP2 subunit polymorphism at codon 60 in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Immunoproteasome was present in brain areas such as hippocampus and cerebellum and localized in neurons, astrocytes and endothelial cells.

LMP2 Inhibitors as a Potential Treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2020
The immunoproteasome (iP), an inducible proteasome variant harboring three immunosubunits, low molecular mass polypeptide-2 (LMP2), multicatalytic endopeptidase complex subunit-1, and low molecular mass polypeptide-7 (LMP7), is involved in multiple facets of inflammatory responses.

[Expression and purification of EBV-LMP2 protein].

Zhonghua shi yan he lin chuang bing du xue za zhi = Zhonghua shiyan he linchuang bingduxue zazhi = Chinese journal of experimental and clinical virology, 2011
To obtain a second Epstein-Barr virus membrane protein (LMP2) in insect cells. The full length EBV-LMP2 gene was inserted into baculovirus expression transfer vector pFastBac HT B to obtain the recombinant baculoviruses Bac-LMP2. And generation of recombinant baculoviruses was followed by transfection of the recombinant Bac-LMP2 into insect cells, then ...

Latent Membrane Protein 2 (LMP2)

2015
LMP2A is an EBV-encoded protein with three domains: (a) an N-terminal cytoplasmic domain, which has PY motifs that bind to WW domain-containing E3 ubiquitin ligases and an ITAM that binds to SH2 domain-containing proteins, (b) a transmembrane domain with 12 transmembrane segments that localizes LMP2A in cellular membranes, and (c) a 27-amino acid C ...
