Interaction of rat liver lysosomes with basic polypeptides
In order to gain knowledge on the interaction of lysosomes with proteins, we have assessed the equilibrium densities of the lysosomal membrane and matrix markers after in vitro incubation of rat liver lysosomes with various polypeptides.

Shellac‐Mediated Assembly of Nanoparticles for mRNA Delivery
A shellac‐mediated nanoparticle assembly strategy is presented, involving the complexation of mRNA and low‐molecular‐weight cationic molecules (e.g., polyethyleneimine, chitosan, lipids, and poly‐l‐lysine), followed by capping with shellac. This nanoparticle platform enables mRNA transfection following intravenous injection and facilitates gene editing

Lysosomes of rat liver and kidney.
Fractionation techniques, based on zonal centrifugation in density gradients, were developed for examining the heterogeneity of lysosomal populations and also for the purification of lysosomes from normal rat liver.

Mechanisms of communication between mitochondria and lysosomes
Mitochondria and lysosomes have long been studied in the context of their classic functions: energy factory and recycle bin, respectively. In the last twenty years, it became evident that these organelles are much more than simple industrial units, and ...

This study investigates the M13 bacteriophage as a biomimetic nanovector capable of crossing in vitro models of the blood–brain barrier. By exploiting peculiar transcellular pathways, M13 avoids lysosomal degradation and preserves its structural integrity and functionality.
