Claudin‐12‐Expressing Fibroblasts Facilitate Metastatic Spread of Pancreatic Cancer Through Physical Interactions

Tumor‐derived TGF‐β induces CLDN12 expression in cancer‐associated fibroblasts, enabling direct adhesion to pancreatic cancer cells through homophilic CLDN12 interactions, thereby promoting local invasion into adjacent tissues and metastasis to the liver; blockade with C12‐pm suppresses liver metastasis.
