Macrodystrophia Lipomatosa: A Rare Case of Right Lower Extremity Gigantism Associated With Syndactyly

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Macrodystrophia lipomatosa (MDL) is a rare sporadic, nonhereditary developmental condition, typically presenting at birth or in early childhood. It is characterized by progressive overgrowth of tissues, mainly due to excess fibrofatty tissue proliferation. This abnormal growth commonly involves nerve sheath, muscle, periosteum, and bone marrow.

Abdominal Cocoon Syndrome With Greater Omental Hypoplasia: A Rare Anatomical Insight and Diagnostic Challenge

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Abdominal cocoon syndrome, or idiopathic sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis (SEP), is an uncommon cause of small bowel obstruction marked by the encasement of bowel loops within a dense fibrocollagenous membrane. Due to its rarity and nonspecific presentation, diagnosis is frequently delayed, particularly in patients without prior abdominal ...

Poland Syndrome With Dextrocardia: A Rare Association Leading to Complex Cardiopulmonary Challenges

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Patients with Poland syndrome, especially those with left‐sided defects accompanied by dextrocardia, may be predisposed to significant respiratory and cardiac complications. This case underscores the importance of early recognition, thorough cardiopulmonary assessment, and proactive planning for airway management and ventilatory support to ...

An Optimized Protocol for the Generation of iPSC Lines from Lymphoblastoid Cell Lines Using the Non‐integrative Sendai Virus

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract The choice of cell source for generating induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) is influenced by several factors, including accessibility, reprogramming efficiency, and the invasiveness of the cell collection procedure. Traditional sources such as skin fibroblasts or peripheral blood mononuclear cells often require invasive sampling, which can

Preliminary Study on the Value of Contrast‐Enhanced Ultrasound in Enhancing Early Vascular Architecture for the Differential Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Endometrial Lesions

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 54, Issue 3, Page 684-690, March/April 2026.
This study aimed to analyze the microvascular morphology and distribution (i.e., early vascular architecture) of endometrial carcinoma lesions during the early enhancement phase using contrast‐enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). The results confirmed that quantitative parameters based on the early vascular architecture possess certain diagnostic efficacy for ...
