Genetic and hypoxic alterations of the microRNA‐210‐ISCU1/2 axis promote iron–sulfur deficiency and pulmonary hypertension [PDF]
Iron–sulfur (Fe‐S) clusters are essential for mitochondrial metabolism, but their regulation in pulmonary hypertension (PH) remains enigmatic. We demonstrate that alterations of the miR‐210‐ISCU1/2 axis cause Fe‐S deficiencies in vivo and promote PH.

MicroRNA-210 Suppresses Junction Proteins and Disrupts Blood-Brain Barrier Integrity in Neonatal Rat Hypoxic-Ischemic Brain Injury. [PDF]
Cerebral edema, primarily caused by disruption of the blood-brain barrier (BBB), is one of the serious complications associated with brain injury in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).

ROD1 is a seedless target gene of hypoxia-induced miR-210. [PDF]
Most metazoan microRNA (miRNA) target sites have perfect pairing to the "seed" sequence, a highly conserved region centering on miRNA nucleotides 2-7.

Hypoxia-inducible MiR-210 is an independent prognostic factor and contributes to metastasis in colorectal cancer. [PDF]
MicroRNA-210 (miR-210), the master hypoxamir, plays pleiotropic roles in certain cancers; however, its role in the development of human colorectal cancer remains unclear.

Apoptotic cell death of cardiomyocytes is a characteristic hallmark of ischemia–reperfusion (I/R) injury. The master hypoxamiR, microRNA-210 (miR-210), is considered the primary driver of the cellular response to hypoxic stress.

Macrophage miR-210 induction and metabolic reprogramming in response to pathogen interaction boost life-threatening inflammation [PDF]
Unbalanced immune responses to pathogens can be life-threatening although the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain unknown. Here, we show a hypoxia-inducible factor 1α-dependent microRNA (miR)-210 up-regulation in monocytes and macrophages upon ...

MiR-210 regulates lung adenocarcinoma by targeting HIF-1α
Object: This study sought to elucidate the role of microRNA-210 (miR-210) in the occurrence and development of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Methods: The levels of lncRNA miR-210HG and miR-210 in LUAD tissues and corresponding normal tissues were analyzed ...
