Mitofusin-2 Regulates Platelet Mitochondria and Function
Circulation ResearchBACKGROUND: Single-nucleotide polymorphisms linked with the rs1474868 T allele ( MFN2 [mitofusin-2] T/T) in the human mitochondrial fusion protein MFN2 gene are associated with reduced platelet MFN2 RNA expression and platelet ...

The Role of Mitofusins in the Osteoclast Lineage
2019Mitochondria exist in a highly dynamic network in many cell types, and mutations in mitochondrial transmembrane GTPase mitofusin2 (MFN2), a key factor that mediates mitochondrial tethering, cause defects in the nervous system. Intriguingly, the skeleton has been overlooked in patients with such mutations.
