This paper presents an angular shaft speed control scheme of an induction motor. The induction motor modelling is performed through vector control with rotor flux orientation. The used control strategy is variable structure model reference adaptive control, that is applied to control uncertain plants.

In this paper, adaptive predictive control is proposed to control a Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) linear displacement actuator. A Black-Box (BB) model based on a Laguerre filter is used to identify the SMA actuator and the controller in closed loop. This identification is performed online using a recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm, thus providing a ...

This paper dealed with position control problems of a DC motor servo system that had nonlinear friction and was subject to parametric uncertainties, external disturbances, etc.. In order to overcame those unfavourable factors mentioned above, a model reference adaptive control method was proposed to regulate the important and main speed loop in the ...

A Cubic-modification law for robust Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) systems
1991 American Control Conference, 1991Robust Deterministic Model Reference Adaptive Control (DMRAC) systems aim at controlling a plant with unknown parameters in the face of disturbances and/or unmodeled dynamics. Our analysis of the dynamics generated by the so-called ?-modification and e 1 -modification laws has revealed the rich dynamics inherent in such DMRAC systems.

Microgrids (MG) are considered as a potential factor while focusing on a reliable supply and flexible control capabilities at the distribution side. These are broadly classified by two types, the grid supported or the grid connected and, the islanded or isolated type.

This paper presents the analysis and simulation of the control of double star induction motor, using direct torque control (DTC) based on model reference adaptive control algorithm (MRAC). The DTC is an excellent solution for general- purpose induction drives in very wide range the short sampling time required by the TC schemes makes them suited to a ...

Model reference adaptive control of a robotic manipulator using a modified output error method is introduced. In the absence of nonlinearities in an integrated dynamical model of a manipulator and actuators, the defined new regressors and augmented error in the modified output error method result a closed-loop system that is globally asymptotically ...

The I/O VS-MRAC redesign and stability analysis presented earlier for the case of plants with relative degree n* ? 2 (ACC'92), is generalized to the case of arbitrary n*. The redesign is based on the explicit consideration of input disturbances which, in addition to actual external disturbances, may include the disturbance originated by the uncertainty
