Palladium Nanoparticles Dispersed in Alginate Beads as an Efficient, Eco‐friendly, and Sustainable Heteregeneous Catalyst: Testing in Carbon‐Sulfur and Carbon‐Carbon Cross‐Coupling Reactions

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Abstract The development of sustainable and efficient catalysts featuring palladium nanoparticles (Pd NPs) is highly sought after. In this context, sodium alginate, a natural polymer, presents a promising eco‐friendly support material for Pd NPs.

Citrate-Linked Keto- and Aldo-Hexose Monosaccharide Cellulose Conjugates Demonstrate Selective Human Neutrophil Elastase-Lowering Activity in Cotton Dressings

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials, 2013
Sequestration of harmful proteases as human neutrophil elastase (HNE) from the chronic wound environment is an important goal of wound dressing design and function.

A Comparative Study of Ferulic Acid on Different Monosaccharide-Mediated Protein Glycation and Oxidative Damage in Bovine Serum Albumin

open access: yesMolecules, 2013
Three dietary monosaccharides, (glucose, fructose, and ribose), have different rates of protein glycation that accelerates the production of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). The present work was conducted to investigate the effect of ferulic acid (

Mikroskaliges Tätowieren von Hydrogelen und Zellen: benzoxaborolbasierter Mikrokontaktdruck (µCP) auf glykolisierte Oberflächen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Carbon Allocation in Ectomycorrhizas: Identification and Expression Analysis of an Amanita muscaria Monosaccharide Transporter

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 1998
Ectomycorrhizas are formed between certain soil fungi and fine roots of predominantly woody plants. An important feature of this symbiosis is the supply of plant-derived carbohydrates to the fungus.

Selective inhibition of T suppressor-cell function by a monosaccharide [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
Interactions between regulatory T lymphocytes and other cells are assumed to occur at the level of the cell surface. T cells which suppress the generation of specifically effector cells have been described as having antigenic, idiotypic, allotypic and I ...

Kollisionsinduzierte Fragmentierung von Oligosacchariden: Mechanistische Einblicke für die Massenspektrometrie‐basierte Glykomik

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Microscale Tattooing of Hydrogels and Cells: Benzoxaborole‐Driven Microcontact Printing (µCP) on Glycosylated Surfaces

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a polymer brush‐assisted microcontact printing (µCP) to pattern glycosylated surfaces. We used a benzoboraxole derivative as an ink for surface patterning. With this novel method, we could functionalize wafer surfaces possessing glycopolymer films, surface‐glycosylated polymer microparticles as well as cellular interfaces.
