Covering All the Bases: Complementary MR1 Antigen Presentation Pathways Sample Diverse Antigens and Intracellular Compartments

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
The ubiquitously expressed, monomorphic MHC class Ib molecule MHC class I-related protein 1 (MR1) presents microbial metabolites to mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells.

Mucosal‐Associated Invariant T Cells Are Involved in Acute Ischemic Stroke by Regulating Neuroinflammation

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2021
Background Mucosal‐associated invariant T (MAIT) cells have been associated with inflammation in several autoimmune diseases. However, their relation to ischemic stroke remains unclear.

Convergence of the groups posterior distribution in latent or stochastic block models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We propose a unified framework for studying both latent and stochastic block models, which are used to cluster simultaneously rows and columns of a data matrix. In this new framework, we study the behaviour of the groups posterior distribution, given the

T-Duality and Spinning Solutions in 2 + 1 Gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Starting with the 2+1 Einstein--Maxwell--Dilaton system with a cosmological constant and assuming two commuting Killing symmetries we derive the corresponding $1+0 \sigma$--model.

Activated Mucosal-associated Invariant T Cells Have a Pathogenic Role in a Murine Model of Inflammatory Bowel DiseaseSummary

open access: yesCellular and Molecular Gastroenterology and Hepatology, 2022
Background & Aims: Mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells are innate-like T cells restricted by major histocompatibility complex-related molecule 1 (MR1) and express a semi-invariant T cell receptor. Previously, we reported the activation status

A statistical method to estimate low-energy hadronic cross sections [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this article we propose a model based on the Statistical Bootstrap approach to estimate the cross sections of different hadronic reactions up to a few GeV in c.m.s energy.

Antigen Recognition by MR1-Reactive T Cells; MAIT Cells, Metabolites, and Remaining Mysteries

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
Mucosal-associated Invariant T (MAIT) cells recognize vitamin B-based antigens presented by the non-polymorphic MHC class I related-1 molecule (MR1). Both MAIT T cell receptors (TCR) and MR1 are highly conserved among mammals, suggesting an important ...

Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription (STAT) Proteins Regulate Mucosal-Associated Invariant T (MAIT) Cell Function. [PDF]

open access: yesImmunology
Integrated transcriptomic, proteomic and flow cytometry analyses reveal that STAT1 negatively regulates MAIT cell effector and glycolytic functions, while STAT3, STAT5 and HIF1α act as positive modulators. Targeting these pathways may offer new strategies to restore MAIT cell function in immune dysregulation and cancer.

Fine Mapping of Rice Specific MR1, a Gene Determines Palea Identity

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
The hull (palea and lemma) is the specific organ of grass florets. Although many genes related to the hull development have been cloned, the genetic mechanisms behind the development are still unclear, and the evolutionary relationship has different ...

MR1-Restricted T Cells with MAIT-like Characteristics Are Functionally Conserved in the Pteropid Bat Pteropus alecto

open access: yesiScience, 2020
Summary: Bats are reservoirs for a large number of viruses which have potential to cause major human disease outbreaks, including the current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
