Decarboxylation-Driven Double Annulations: Innovative Multi-Component Reaction Pathways
A concerted five-component reaction strategy has been developed, featuring double [3+2] cycloadditions utilizing aspartic acid. This approach provides valuable insights into mechanistic pathways, allowing for the distinction between concerted and ...

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling

ABSTRACT Methane's efficient catalytic removal is vital for sustainable development. Bimetallic catalysts, though promising for methane activation, pose a design challenge due to their complex compositional space. This work introduces an integrated framework that combines high‐throughput density functional theory (DFT) and interpretable machine ...

Formaldehyde surrogates in multicomponent reactions
Formaldehyde emerges as a cornerstone in multicomponent reactions, mainly prized for its robust reactivity. Yet, alongside these beneficial traits, this highly reactive C1-building block raises concerns, primarily regarding its toxicity. One notable issue is the challenge of controlling the formation of undesired byproducts during its reactions.

Tracing the Dynamic Chemical Transformations of Spiro‐OMeTAD in Operating Perovskite Solar Cells
Mapping of Spiro‐OMeTAD layer's chemistry and electronic properties in PSC: Advanced cluster ion‐beam sputtering depth profile XPS reveals that environmental stressors (light, potential, and moisture) trigger the decomposition of LiTFSI dopants in Spiro‐OMeTAD.

Studies on the Synthesis of DMAP Derivatives by Diastereoselective Ugi Reactions
Diastereoselective Ugi reactions of DMAP-based aldehydes with α-amino acids and tert-butyl isocyanide were examined. The reactions of 4-(dimethylamino)-2-pyridine-carboxaldehyde with various α-amino acids afforded 2-substituted DMAP derivatives with low ...

Multicomponent Reactions (MCRs) [PDF]
Multicomponent reactions (MCRs) involving three or more components have good pot, atom and step economy. There are dozens of well-known MCRs in literature. Selective examples of newly introduced MCRs, high–order MCRs, MCRs followed by post-condensation modifications, and consecutive MCRs are presented in this chapter.

Increasing nanocurvature effectively enriches the local electron density of the M–N4 motif, which facilitates electron transfer from the metal center to nitrogen atoms. This electronic behavior intensifies the localization and asymmetric distribution of charge, thereby significantly amplifying the dipole moment and polarizability.
