The nucleolar RNA methyltransferase Misu (NSun2) is required for mitotic spindle stability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Myc-induced SUN domain–containing protein (Misu or NSun2) is a nucleolar RNA methyltransferase important for c-Myc–induced proliferation in skin, but the mechanisms by which Misu contributes to cell cycle progression are unknown.

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

c-Myc induced changes in higher order rDNA structure accompany growth factor stimulation of quiescent cells

open access: yes, 2007
Human c-Myc is believed to be a high level coordinator of protein synthesis capacity and cell growth rate, capable of activating transcription by all three nuclear RNA Polymerases.

C-myc and immunoglobulin kappa light chain constant genes are on the 8q+ chromosome of three Burkitt lymphoma lines with t(2;8) translocations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
We have determined the localization of c-myc and the immunoglobulin kappa light chain genes on the 8q+/2p- chromosomes of the three Burkitt lymphoma lines BL21, LY66 and LY91 with t(2;8) translocation by in situ hybridization.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

The predictive value of immunohistochemistry for MYC, BCL2, and BCL6 in fluorescence in situ hybridization in aggressive mature B-cell lymphomas and re-evaluation according to the 5th edition of the World Health Organization classification: A single-center 9-year experience

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology
Background: Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma/High-grade B-cell lymphoma with MYC and BCL2 and/or BCL6 translocations (DLBCL/HGBL-MYC/BCL2) represent a distinct and rare diagnostic category in 5th Edition World Health Organization (WHO-HAEM5) classification.
