Whole‐Brain Monosynaptic Inputs and Outputs of Corticotropin‐Releasing Hormone Neurons of the Paraventricular Nucleus of the Hypothalamus in Male Mice

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 9, September 2026.
Using rabies‐based monosynaptic retrograde tracing and AAV anterograde labeling, this study maps the brain‐wide inputs and outputs of PVN CRH neurons, identifying them as a key hub coordinating stress, autonomic, and behavioral responses. ABSTRACT Objective The paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus (PVN) is a central hub integrating ...

Frequency and Characteristics of Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody‐Associated Disease Accompanied by Fever: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 9, September 2026.
Diagnostic pitfall in fever with CNS involvement: MOGAD. Fever accompanied by neurological symptoms was initially suspected as central nervous system infection. However, negative pathogen tests and failed anti‐infective therapy, followed by positive MOG‐IgG, led to a revised diagnosis of MOGAD. The patient responded favorably to corticosteroids or IVIG.

Emodin Suppresses the RAGE/ROCK1 Pathway to Modulate the Oligodendrocyte Lineage and Ameliorate Demyelination in Vascular Dementia Rats

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 9, September 2026.
Emodin improves white matter remyelination and alleviates cognitive deficits through suppression of the RAGE/ROCK1 signaling pathway in VD rats. Mechanistically, it modulates the OL lineage by reducing the elevated proliferative response of OPCs while promoting their maturation and remyelination.

Exploring Healthcare Continuity in Pediatric‐Onset Multiple Sclerosis in the United States

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, Volume 4, Issue 3, Page 177-187, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective Little is known about shifting from pediatric to adult‐focused multiple sclerosis (MS) care. This study aims to explore transition of care and follow‐up in the US pediatric‐onset MS (POMS) population. Methods Surveys were distributed to 10 sites in the US Network of Pediatric MS Centers (US NPMSC) about transition‐of‐care practices ...

Tissue‐Resident Macrophage in Inflammation and Cancer

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
Opposing macrophage functions in inflammation and cancer converge on shared mechanistic nodes, informing cross‐disease therapeutic strategies. ABSTRACT Tissue‐resident macrophages (TRMs) are long‐lived immune cells strategically distributed across organs, where their functional plasticity enables both homeostatic maintenance and pathological ...
