Myogenic Differentiation of Mytilus Larval Cellsin vitro

Russian Journal of Developmental Biology, 2001
A myogenic differentiation program can be realized during the cultivation of Mytilus trossulus cells derived from larvae in premyogenic developmental stages. About 10-15% of cells in such cultures showed that they are capable of contracting actively. The shape of such cells and the high concentration of actin microfilaments indicate a similarity with ...

Muscle Differentiation: Which myogenic factors make muscle?

Current Biology, 1994
Mice lacking myogenin have little skeletal muscle as fibres fail to differentiate. Lack of both MyoD and myf-5 results in no skeletal muscle and apparently no myoblasts, suggesting that these factors act earlier in muscle development.

Directed myogenic reprogramming of differentiated cells

Genes & Cells, 2018
A morphological manifestation of myopathies is progressive lesion of muscular tissue with it substitution by connective tissue which makes it necessary to compensate cell loss. To date, methods which can replenish a cell pool in an affected muscle are absent.
