, 1984 Two observations were done searching for jaboticaba trees (Myrciaria jaboticata Berg) propagation by grafting methods. When grafting was tried on ponhema (Myrciaria cauliflora Berg) seedlings, during summer season, 30.5% of takes were observed. Approach grafting on jaboticaba seedlings, during fall - winter seasons, results in 80% of sucess.

In this study, the production of jabuticaba (Myrciaria jaboticaba) vinegar using immobilized Acetobacter aceti and Gluconobacter oxydans cells is proposed as a new method to prevent losses of jabuticaba fruit surplus.
