DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM Analyses Implicate the Critical Role of RNA Structural Dynamics in Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Pathogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

Preparation and Characterization of Edible Films Made from Modified Sweet Potato Starch through Heat Moisture Treatment

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Chemistry, 2018
The edible films were prepared from native sweet potato starch (SPS) or modified sweet potato starch through heat-moisture treatment (HMT). The treatments which were carried out in this research were the different durations of HMT (1, 2, and 3 h) and the

Toward Predictable Nanomedicine: Current Forecasting Frameworks for Nanoparticle–Biology Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Predictive models successfully screen nanoparticles for toxicity and cellular uptake. Yet, complex biological dynamics and sparse, nonstandardized data limit their accuracy. The field urgently needs integrated artificial intelligence/machine learning, systems biology, and open‐access data protocols to bridge the gap between materials science and safe ...

PENGARUH ISOTERM SORPSI AIR TERHADAP STABILITAS BERAS UBI [Effect of Moisture Sorption Isotherm to Stability of “Sweet Potato Rice”]

open access: yesJurnal Teknologi dan Industri Pangan, 2010
“Sweet Potato Rice” stability as a dry food product was determined by water activity (aw) and equilibrium moisture content (Me). This relationship is known as moisture sorption isotherm. This research were aimed 1) to study moisture sorption isotherm of “

Evaluation of industrial potential of novel cassava starches with low and high amylose contents in comparison with other commercial starch sources [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The industrial starch market is undergoing major expansion, but certain specific industrial uses cannot be satisfied by native starches and, therefore, chemical or physical modification is necessary.

A leaf phenomics approach for estimating belowground traits in North American licorice

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Selective breeding over thousands of years has prioritized aboveground yield, with little regard for changes belowground. Roots underpin plant growth and resilience, but our knowledge of these critical structures lags behind that of aboveground structures.

Taro leaf and stylo forage as protein sources for pigs in Laos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Existing forage plants may have applications as alternative protein resources for pigs in smallholder farming systems. This thesis examined the effect of harvesting/defoliation interval on the yield and chemical composition of taro leaves and stylo ...

The psychosocial toll of Dublin III on asylum seekers in the Netherlands

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract The Dublin III Regulation determines which EU Member State is responsible for examining asylum claims, but its implementation carries significant consequences for those subjected to it. This study examines how Dublin III, as implemented in the Netherlands, affects asylum seekers' psychosocial wellbeing using Silove′s Adaptation and Development
