Sprague‐Dawley rats were used to investigate postprandial metabolic and inflammatory responses following the consumption of an energy‐dense meal. Time‐resolved plasma and liver analyses revealed fluctuations in bile acid levels, particularly cholic acid, along with changes in metabolic intermediates, oxylipins, and inflammatory markers.

Background High serum NEFA and GDF-15 are risk factors for CAD and have been linked to detrimental cardiovascular events. It has been hypothesized that hyperuricemia causes CAD via the oxidative metabolism and inflammation.

Diagnosis and Management of Hypersensitivity to Antiplatelet Drugs: EAACI Position Paper
ABSTRACT Antiplatelet drug (APD) therapy is the cornerstone for the prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The main APDs are aspirin and thienopyridines, particularly clopidogrel. These drugs may induce hypersensitivity reactions (HSRs).

Differences in the serum nonesterified Fatty Acid profile of young women associated with a recent history of gestational diabetes and overweight/obesity. [PDF]
Nonesterified fatty acids (NEFA) play pathophysiological roles in metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes (T2D). In this study, we analyzed the fasting NEFA profiles of normoglycemic individuals at risk for T2D (women with a recent history of gestational ...

The diet-derived short chain fatty acid propionate improves beta-cell function in humans and stimulates insulin secretion from human islets in vitro [PDF]
Aims: Diet-derived short chain fatty acids (SCFAs) improve glucose homeostasis in vivo, but the role of individual SCFAs and their mechanisms of action have not been defined.

Multi‐Omics Reveal the Metabolic Changes in Cumulus Cells During Aging
Fatty acid β‐oxidation was elevated in cumulus cells from older mice. Tryptophan metabolism in aged cumulus cells was active. Supplementing with 5‐HT could mitigate aging damage in oocytes. ABSTRACT Maternal age has been reported to impair oocyte quality.
