In this model, ROS generated by UVB result in PAFR agonists acting upon the PAFR resulting in MVP generation release via the enzyme aSMase. In photosensitivity, there are increased ROS, resulting in augmented PAF agonists and increased MVP release. This process can be blocked by aSMase inhibitors.

This study revealed a dose‐dependent miRNA buffering mechanism involving extracellular export and storage of miRNA on lipid droplets. The protein HuR facilitates miRNA buffering by dissociating miRNAs from Ago2 and promoting miRNA accumulation on lipid droplets or its extracellular export, depending on cellular requirements.

Abstract INTRODUCTION The apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4) allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (AD). ApoE4 has reduced lipidation capacity and impaired lipid transport, disrupting neuronal maintenance. The high‐density lipoprotein (HDL)‐mimetic peptide 4F offers a potential therapeutic strategy.
