To observe the effect of stimulating Qihai (CV 6) and bilateral Tianshu (ST 25) with herb-partitioned moxibustion (HPM) in rats with Crohn's disease (CD), and to investigate the possible anti-inflammatory mechanism of HPM.Forty rats were randomly divided into four groups (n = 10 rats per group): normal control (NC), model control (MC), mesalamine (MES),

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

A gene expression biomarker for predictive toxicology to identify chemical modulators of NF-κB.
The nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) is a transcription factor with important roles in inflammation, immune response, and oncogenesis. Dysregulation of NF-κB signaling is associated with inflammation and certain cancers.

Neurotropin suppresses inflammatory cytokine expression and cell death through suppression of NF-κB and JNK in hepatocytes. [PDF]
Inflammatory response and cell death in hepatocytes are hallmarks of chronic liver disease, and, therefore, can be effective therapeutic targets. Neurotropin® (NTP) is a drug widely used in Japan and China to treat chronic pain.

NF-κB is a transcription factor involved in the regulation of inflammation and innate immunity. The IκB kinase (IKK) complex contains two catalytic subunits, IKKα and IKKβ, and plays an essential role in the activation of NF-κB through the phosphorylation and degradation of the NF-κB inhibitor IκBα, thereby allowing translocation of NF-κB into the ...

The Effects of Curcumin on NF-κB Level and Degree of Liver Fibrosis in Rat Liver Fibrosis
Introduction. Chronic inflammation is the main mechanism responsible for liver fibrosis. NF-κB regulates inflammation, wound healing, and cell death. Curcumin acts as an antiinflammatory, antifibrotic and induced apoptosis, one of them through resistance

PD-L1 Expression Is Regulated By NF-κB During EMT Signaling In Gastric Carcinoma.
The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) occurring in gastric carcinoma cells and the involvement of programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in tumor cells that undergo EMT. The mechanisms underlying PD-L1 expression during EMT in gastric carcinoma cells were also explored. The capacities of ...

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.
