Environmentally friendly catalyst- and solvent-free synthesis of 2-anilino nicotinic acids derivatives as potential lead COX inhibitors [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Chemistry, 2023
In this study, an environmentally friendly, solvent- and catalyst-free synthesis of 2-anilino nicotinic acids derivatives is reported. This operationally simple and green procedure was applied to a selection of primary aromatic amines giving rise to 23 ...

Preparation and characterization of capsaicin encapsulated polymeric micelles and studies of synergism with nicotinic acids as potential anticancer nanomedicines

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences, 2023
Background/Objective/Methods: Capsaicin micelles were prepared by the direct dissolution using the amphiphilic copolymer Pluronic P123 and advanced for substantially novel submicro-nanocytotoxicity.

A New Method for the Determination of Nucleic Acid Using an Eu3+– nicotinic Acid Complex as a Resonance Light Scattering Probe [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2008
This study found that in Tris-HCl buffer, the resonance light scattering (RLS) intensity of the Eu3+-nicotinic acid system can be greatly enhanced by nucleic acids and the enhanced intensity is proportional to the concentration of nucleic acid in the ...

THE BACTERIAL OXIDATION OF NICOTINIC ACID [PDF]

open access: hybridJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1957
N-Formylmaleamic acid, a probable intermediate in the bacterial metabolism of nicotinic acid, has been synthesized by photoisomerization of its transisomer, N-formylfumaramic acid. The compound previously reported to be N-formylmaleamic acid has been shown to be N-formylfumaramic acid.

Nicotinic Acid Metabolism

open access: hybridJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1969
Abstract An enzyme that catalyzes the reversible hydroxylation of nicotinic acid to 6-hydroxynicotinic acid has been purified from extracts of a nicotinic acid-fermenting clostridium. The enzyme appears to be a flavin adenine dinucleotide-containing non-heme iron protein and utilizes triphosphopyridine nucleotide as the ultimate electron acceptor.

The kinetics of the reaction of 6-substituted nicotinic acids and some p-substituted benzoic acids with diazodiphenylmethane in various alcohols [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2000
Rate constants have been determined for the reactions of diazodiphenylmethane with a number of 6-substituted nicotinic acids and p-substituted benzoic acids in twelve alcohols. A comparative study was used to evaluate and compare the Hammett r values and

The comparative study of linear solvatation energy relationship for the reactivity of pyridine carboxylic acids with diazodiphenylmethane in protic and aprotic solvents [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2012
Protic and aprotic solvent effects on the reactivity of picolinic, nicotinic and isonicotinic acid, as well as of some substituted nicotinic acids with diazodiphenylmethane (DDM) were investigated.

The kinetics of the reactions of 2-substituted nicotinic acids with diazodiphenylmethane in various alcohols [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2003
The rate constants of 2-substituted nicotinic acids in reaction with diazodiphenylmethane (DDM) in eight alcohols at 30ºC have been determined. In order to explain the obtained results through solvent effects, the second order reaction rate constants (k)

Dynamic imaging and characterization of volatile aerosols in e-cigarette emissions using deep learning-based holographic microscopy [PDF]

open access: yesACS Sensors (2021), 2021
Various volatile aerosols have been associated with adverse health effects; however, characterization of these aerosols is challenging due to their dynamic nature. Here we present a method that directly measures the volatility of particulate matter (PM) using computational microscopy and deep learning.
