Importance of NKG2D-NKG2D ligands interaction for cytolytic activity of natural killer cell
Cellular Immunology, 2012In this study, we investigate the relationship between natural killer (NK) cell susceptibility and the surface markers of cancer cells. Through phenotypic analysis, we found evidence that more susceptible cancer cell lines (K562 and Jurkat) express more NKG2D ligands.

Targeting NKG2D in tumor surveillance
Expert Opinion on Therapeutic Targets, 2012NKG2D (natural killer group 2, member D) is expressed on the surface of all mouse and human NK cells, and subpopulation of T cells. Stimulation of NK cells through NKG2D triggers cell-mediated cytotoxicity and induces the production of cytokines. NKG2D binds to family of unique ligands with structurally similar to MHC class I, however, NKG2D ligands ...

Information on receptor ligand systems used by NK cells to specifically detect transformed cells has been accumulating rapidly. Killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily K, member 1, also known as KLRK1, is the product of human gene. The KLRK1 has been designated as CD314 and contains a C-type lectin-like domain (CTLD).

NKG2D in Innate and Adaptive Immunity
2005The term “NK receptors” has been applied to a growing number of cell surface receptors that were initially identified by their expression on NK cells. However, it is becoming increasingly obvious that few or none of the known “NK receptors” are completely restricted in expression to NK cells.

Dual role of NKG2D of NKG2D in NK cell physiology
2009Predavanje se je odnosilo na ulogu NKG2D receptora u razvoju NK stanica, a na osnovu rezultata dobivenih analizom NKG2D-deficitnih ...
