Noncoding RNA in Mycobacteria

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2014
ABSTRACT Efforts to understand the molecular basis of mycobacterial gene regulation are dominated by a protein-centric view. However, there is a growing appreciation that noncoding RNA, i.e., RNA that is not translated, plays a role in a wide variety of molecular mechanisms.

Lactylation‐Driven YTHDC1 Alleviates MASLD by Suppressing PTPN22‐Mediated Dephosphorylation of NLRP3

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In MASLD, YTHDC1 undergoes increased lactylation and ubiquitination, reducing its expression. AARS1 mediates lactylation at lysine 565, while disrupted binding to LDHA further promotes lactylation, suppressing YTHDC1. This downregulation enhances PTPN22 mRNA stability, leading to NLRP3 dephosphorylation and activation, which exacerbates inflammation ...

Primary Cilia Formation Mediated by Hsa_Circ_0005185/OTUB1/RAB8A Complex Inhibits Prostate Cancer Progression by Suppressing Hedgehog Signaling Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most common malignancies for male individuals globally. Androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) initially demonstrated significant efficacy in treating PCa; however, most cases of PCa eventually progress to castration ...

A Computational Model to Predict the Causal miRNAs for Diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are one class of important noncoding RNA molecules, and their dysfunction is associated with a number of diseases. Currently, a series of databases and algorithms have been developed for dissecting human miRNA–disease associations ...

Single‐Nucleus Multi‐Omics Reveals Hypoxia‐Driven Angiogenic Programs and Their Epigenetic Control in Sinonasal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐nucleus multi‐omics profiling of sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma unveils a hypoxia‐driven angiogenic axis. A specific hypoxic tumor subpopulation orchestrates endothelial tip cell differentiation via epigenetically regulated ADM and VEGFA secretion.

miR-32-5p suppresses the progression of hepatocellular carcinoma by regulating the GSK3β/NF-κB signaling

open access: yesActa Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly fatal form of malignancy that seriously threatens patient survival. The global 5-year survival rate for HCC patients ranges from 15% to 19%, and nearly 80% of patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage ...

The Potential Roles of Long Noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) in Glioblastoma Development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) may contribute to the initiation and progression of tumor. In this study, we first systematically compared lncRNA and mRNA expression between glioblastoma and paired normal brain tissues using microarray data.

Small Nucleolar RNA Snord17 Promotes Self‐Renewal of Intestinal Stem Cells through Yy2 mRNA Export and Tead4 Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Snord17, through interaction with Thoc3, promotes nuclear export and translation of Yy2 mRNA in Snord17+/+ ISCs. The Yy2 protein subsequently binds the Tead4 promoter to promote its transcription, activating Hippo signaling, which is essential for ISC maintenance.

MST4 Kinase Inhibitor Hesperadin Attenuates Autophagy and Behavioral Disorder via the MST4/AKT Pathway in Intracerebral Hemorrhage Mice

open access: yesBehavioural Neurology, 2020
Background. The aim of this study was to explore the role of hesperadin in intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) mice, with the involvement of the mammalian ste20-like kinase 4 (MST4)/AKT signaling pathway. Methods.
