Moving beyond a legacy paradigm: A vision for equitable access to quality medicines in Africa

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 172, Issue S2, Page S44-S50, June 2026.
Abstract Ensuring the availability of quality medicines is fundamental to achieving health outcomes and safeguarding public health. However, in many low‐ and middle‐income countries, especially across Africa, the current quality assurance paradigm—largely driven by historical donor preferences for WHO prequalification and stringent regulatory authority

Identification of Predictive Factors for Isolated Brain Progression in Patients With Cerebral Metastatic Melanoma After Treatment With Stereotactic Brain Radiotherapy

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 586-592, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Melanomas often metastasize to the brain, leading to a significantly poor prognosis despite advances in local and systemic treatments. In clinical practice, we frequently observe varying response patterns and progression dynamics between cerebral and extra cerebral sites. Objectives This study aims to identify predictive factors for

Immunotherapy‐Related Cutaneous Toxicities in Melanoma: A Dermoscopic Perspective

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 402-414, June 2026.
Dermoscopy serves as a valuable tool in the everyday dermatological and oncological practice for melanoma patients, allowing for the prompt identification of immune‐related cutaneous toxicities and guiding clinicians toward appropriate therapeutic decisions.

Molecular Diagnostics in Thyroid Nodules: Current Applications, Clinical Value, and Future Perspective

open access: yesMed Research, Volume 2, Issue 2, Page 204-213, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Molecular diagnostics have become an important adjunct to ultrasonography and fine‐needle aspiration (FNA) for thyroid nodules, especially in Bethesda III/IV cytology where malignancy risk is uncertain. This narrative review summarizes the diagnostic and prognostic value of key genomic drivers (BRAF V600E, RAS, RET, TERT, and selected fusions)

Redox Regulation and Oxidative Stress in Health and Disease: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targeting

open access: yesMedComm – Future Medicine, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Reactive species serve crucial roles which are tightly regulated in both physiological as well as disease states. At physiological levels, these species are integral to redox signaling, while uncontrolled redox promotes disease pathology. This review examines the dysregulation of these processes.

A Case Report of a Special Type of Multiple Myeloma: Kappa Light Chain‐Only

open access: yesOrgan Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 2, Page 119-124, June 2026.
This case illustrates the clinical course of a patient diagnosed with kappa light chain‐only multiple myeloma, a rare subtype of multiple myeloma. Of note, light chain multiple myeloma is characterized by rapid disease progression and severe target organ damage.

Utility of Urinary Extracellular Vesicles for Colorectal Cancer: Comparison of DNA Quality and MRD Detection

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 6, Page 1667-1677, June 2026.
Urinary EVs provide highly pure vesicles with superior DNA quality, making them a robust and completely non‐invasive source for molecular profiling. Urinary EV‐DNA–based MRD assessment shows significant prognostic value and may serve as a practical tool for postoperative monitoring and risk stratification in colorectal cancer.
