Inclined Massive Planets in a Protoplanetary Disc: Gap Opening, Disc Breaking, and Observational Signatures

open access: yes, 2018
We carry out 3D hydrodynamical simulations to study planet–disc interactions for inclined high-mass planets, focusing on the disc’s secular evolution induced by the planet.

The 9th International RASopathies Symposium

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The RASopathies are a group of congenital disorders with overlapping clinical manifestations that are caused by pathogenic germline or early somatic variants that result in the hyperactivation of the RAS/mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway.

GOLGA7 is essential for NRAS trafficking from the Golgi to the plasma membrane but not for its palmitoylation

open access: yesCell Communication and Signaling
NRAS mutations are most frequently observed in hematological malignancies and are also common in some solid tumors such as melanoma and colon cancer.

Detection of Mutations in Selected Proto-Oncogenes of Canine Lymphoma

open access: yesFolia Veterinaria, 2017
Lymphomas belong among the most frequently diagnosed tumours of the haematopoietic system in dogs. The clinical manifestations and genetic and molecular basis of canine lymphoma resembles those of human non-Hodgkin lymphoma and therefore it can serve as ...

Noonan Syndrome Spectrum Disorders Predispose to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Case Report and Critical Review of the Literature

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT RASopathies are clinically overlapping neurodevelopmental syndromes resulting from germline mutations in genes involved in the rat sarcoma/mitogen‐activated protein kinases (RAS/MAPK) pathway. Historically, RASopathies have been described by clinical phenotypes, such as Noonan syndrome and Neurofibromatosis type I.

LSQ13ddu: a rapidly evolving stripped-envelope supernova with early circumstellar interaction signatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This paper describes the rapidly evolving and unusual supernova LSQ13ddu, discovered by the La Silla-QUEST survey. LSQ13ddu displayed a rapid rise of just 4.8 ± 0.9 d to reach a peak brightness of −19.70 ± 0.02 mag in the LSQgr band.

Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Peroxide Production via Simultaneous Reduction and Oxidation Processes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an important chemical substance and also a promising carbon‐free clean fuel. The design of a sophisticated photoelectrochemical (PEC) reaction system enables the solar‐driven H2O2 production through simultaneous water oxidation and oxygen reduction processes (H2O2/H2O2‐PEC cells).

Advancing Pharmacometrics in Africa: Insights and Perspectives From the 2025 Pharmacometrics Africa Conference

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Pharmacometrics (PMX) in Africa has transitioned from foundational capacity‐building to job creation, scientific leadership, regulatory influence, and health innovation. To accelerate this progress, the 2025 Pharmacometrics Africa Conference (PMXAC‐2025) convened key stakeholders to consolidate the continental PMX community, review progress in local ...

Prevalence of BRAF, NRAS and c-KIT mutations in Slovenian patients with advanced melanoma

open access: yesRadiology and Oncology, 2018
BRAF, NRAS and c-KIT mutations are characteristics of tumour tissues that influence on treatment decisions in metastatic melanoma patients. Mutation frequency and their correlation with histological characteristics in Slovenian population have not been ...

Prevalence of BRAF and NRAS mutations in cutaneous melanoma patients in Taiwan

open access: yesJournal of the Formosan Medical Association, 2016
BRAF and NRAS mutations have been described in melanomas among Caucasians and some Asian populations. However, few large-scale studies have investigated the status and clinical significance of BRAF and NRAS mutations in a Taiwanese population.
